  1. Not too shabby for a 2nd gen wannabe...
  2. I'm not positively sure on this one, but by '88 I think all of the antennas were folding type antennas. Have you tried unscrewing the silver section on the bottom? You may find out that your antennas fold down for pulling into the garage...
  3. Ol' Nitro Bob of the Satan Barbers MC, don't mess with me...
  4. Great gag, but not what you intended, me thinks...
  5. Yes, and you probably would have made more money that way. It just requires more work to tear down and ship everything separately. Hope you have a new sacoot by the 20th of September so we can meet you for the PA ride...
  6. We will give it some thought, Steve, but no promises at this point...
  7. Our deepest condolances. Although you may rest assured that she is in a better place now, it is never easy to accept the loss. Prayers sent.
  8. You came thru and didn't stop by?!!?
  9. Now THAT'S a motorcycle I would like...
  10. The only thing I can think of adding is to make sure the calipers are not hanging up. With the wheel off the ground, just firmly press the appropriate brake and release. The wheel should spin reasonably freely after releasing the brake. It may be initially a little tight until the wheel starts to turn...
  11. Just prayed and will contimnue to do so! Keep us posted on the progress. There have been way too many accidents lately...
  12. Uhhhh, Amish country in Ohio??
  13. Gee Whiz, a fancy 2.7 L Sludge Collector for only $10,000!!! And I would be happy with $7995 for my limited production fully loaded 3.5L 2002 Dodge Intrepid R/T with similar mileage...
  14. Remembe3r, Phil, you have the option of possibly saving a little on shipping by sending to zip code 14009...
  15. OK, this was one of the best 2 week vacations ever!! The first day we did the twistys on US Route 219 thru Pa with trailer in tow. With the exception of a slight power loss going uphill I had to keep looking behind to make sure it was still behind me. We stayed overnight near Johnstown Pa. Day 2 took us thru Pa, Md, W Va and Va heading for the Shenandoah Trail. Had an almost dead battery that day due to the headlight switch being halfway between low and high. Much later, and several times more in that position, found out it was due to hanging my helmet on the handlebars. More twisty turney roads! Day 3 had us thru Shenandoah onto the Blue Ridge Parkway. We stopped at Luray Cavern for a while in between. At the end of the day we took this ultra twisty road off of the Blue Ridge Parkway that was an absolute challenge! Never got higher than 3rd gear! Finally ended up in a hotel near Lynchburg Va where we drank some Blueberry beer that got us $hitfaced on our a$$es! Ordered pizza and ate it on the curb in front of the lobby. Pizza was delivered to us as we waited! Day 4 hard drive to get to the M&E but we made it after even more twisty roads! I have company coming right now, so later I will continue with the adventures of Zorro (Mother's scoot) and Goldie (mine) with descriptions of "Scotty Tours"...
  16. Great news!!! I know the feeling, and Praise the Lord daily for my job especially at my age!
  17. ...Keep in mind, thyere IS a difference between "Dropping" and gently setting it down on the crash bars at a stop. Just paid my "Stupid" fine for dropping the scoot doing something stupid twice. 1. Do NOT stop sideways on an incline, and 2. Ventures are NOT designed to be a dirt bike!
  18. Wiring harnesses do periodically appear on ebay, so it may be a good way to go timewise as opposed to tearing into your old butchered one...
  19. Yes, I was just having the same problem paying my "Stupidity"fine... I'll try the side link.
  20. WOW!! Praise the Lord that you are able to tell us about it and that it wasn't worse than that! Broken ribs are no joy, I have firsthand knowledge of that! We went thru a little rain yesterday in Pa but no misfortunes. I'll pray that you will be back riding soon. Just relax and heal for now...
  21. 2nd last person to get home from Ashville. Mother wil be the last one home tomorrow. Man, what a blast we had for the last 2 weeks! More to follow...
  22. Nooooo!! He said the "S" word!! Maybe that was what Squidley was talking about in his Fireside Chat...
  23. I'll take 5K for mine...
  24. Good grief, now what?!!?
  25. We are now in SW PA waiting for our pizza to be delivered. We are enjoying some Sam Adams while waiting...
