Yeah!! Aren't there some kind of labor laws protecting the poor algae from being forced to work 24/7 without any compensation?? They are a living thing, after all...

Hmmmm, turn New Mexico into a giant refinery for the US... Very interesting research, Don!

83 VR Rear Brake Problem
bongobobny replied to a topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
OK then! You want to bleed the front first, which is more downstream from the resovior. You wil use up a huge amount of fluid to effectively acomplish this. Also, on the '83 - '85 the anti dive uses brake fluid from the front brakes. Make sure you don't have a leak in the anti dive unit... -
Atlantadragonslayer has one. I was thinking of buying it from him but there wasn't enough stuff he had that I wanted so I don't want just that with the cost of shipping, so PM him...

83 VR Rear Brake Problem

Uhhh, check the proportioning valve and bleed the front as well?? You do know it is a linked system, right? -
Try Rick at Buckeye Performance. Be sure to mention you are a member of Venturerider and you will get a discount. Here's a link to his website and you should find his number there. http://www.buckeyeperformance.com

New motto: Ride to work, Work to Ride!

So far I've read a lot of good suggestions and many good reasons why, along with an equal amount of reasons why not, to have the Rallye there. It's too hot, too cold, too expensive, too far, no accomodations, not motorcycle friendly, etc. I personally think Squidley hit the nail right on the head by saying that it's really about the fellowship. I agree, we need a little less riding, and more time getting to know each other. I know firsthand from having to miss most of this years meet I missed out on that very important aspect of the entire experience. Also, as mentioned many times, what really matters is people taking the iniative to organize the meet. That being said, and for the very reasons I stated i n my first suggestion as to catering to the West coast crowd this year, I would like to nominate Pueblo Colorodo as a possibility. OK I'm really just trying to double my chances at the $100 gift certificate... PS: I nominate Western New York for the 2010 Rallye and will help organize that!

Tell the adjuster you want the bike REPLACED to your satisfaction by a specific date and see what he says. Stand your ground, all insurance adjusters are crooks and scoundrels...

OK, D = Deluxe, T=Touring. Deluxe as in the Royale as opposed to the Standard. As stated, C = California Emissions version.

Right now I'd be happy to just plain Ride, much less Ride to work...

I liked the Central/Southern Ohio suggestion in the contest thread! Sure, it would still be eastern US, but there is the West Coast meet as well for our western members. Ohio would be a little cooler that time of the year, centrally located to several states, and lots of members in the area. Maybe Buckeye Performance could set up a display or something.

OK I need some help! I'm installing a '86 up CB in Goldie and I'm sort of temporarily stuck for some parts. I need the DIN cable from the CB to the amp, and all of the wiring harness for the CB from the unit to the switches, and to the noise filter. I have the noise filter but not the connector. I can hot wire the CB if necessary but would prefer the harness for a more professional, and removable installation. I definately need the din cable as the radio shack version is not a right angle head. Let me know what youy have and how much you need...

Well, seeing as we sort of catered to the NorthEast crowd this year, how about the SouthWest next year. Maybe northern Arizona like Flagstaff. There would be some really spectacular rides in that area. Another possibility would be southern Utah which would be in the northern Grand Canyon area but with Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park in the area rides would be a real treat!

Me likey, but may I suggest painting your entire false gas tank rather than just the fuel door. I just think that it would blend right in with the dash and seat... JMHO.

Look! Up in the sky! It's a bird, it's a plane, it's super.... Awww, it's just Squidley.
