    .....You hit your hand on the window as you try to wave to a passing bike. (I've done that!) .....You lean harder and harder but the car keeps going straight ahead. (Friend of mine did that) .....your foot is under the brake pedal pulling up but you casn't get it to shift. .....You insist that your wife set behind you rather than next to you. .....you have bungee cords wrapped around your rear spoiler. .....you stop under an overpass when it's raining to put on your rain gear.

    Hi! I've been known to associate with these other NY riders as well! I'm about an hour south of you right now. Don't know if I can meet up with you, though, as I work a lot. I'm actually off Sunday!! I'm sure Big Tom will keep me updated if anythng comes together...

    Yah! pretty much packed it in for the year. May get out one more time but for all intents and purposes it;s over until spring. Oh well, next spring Goldie will be better than ever with new and improved Mk 2 brakes and front suspension, heel/toe shifter, and maybe an electronic rear view mirror...

    I would suppose not completely, Sherry! If anything, I would think that you will never completely forget Tom, nor should you. He meant the world to you, as did you to him, and that's something that should never cese. In a way, I can understand that as I am still in love with my first wife, who may or may not be alive. Of course I love my present wife with all my heart and soul, and would never be untrue to her, but even to this day I stil think of my first. You see, at one time, I had a strong enough commitment to her to ask her to spend the rest of our lives together, but some times things don't work out the way they should. My point is, don't forget the past, but don't live in it either. Live today for today. I am so glad you are moving on and are coming to grips with things. Remember we are famliy here too, and keep in touch.

    I understand what you are going thru and am glad you came up with such a great deal on the Chevy Hot Rod! Being a diabetic myself, and loosing a toe to the disease this summer, my choice is to turn my Venture into a trike in the next couple of years. You are always welcome around here as this is a site for enthusiasts, not necessarily persent owners. This site is family and no one wants you to leave the family...

    Replace the switch! They are still available for around 50 bucks. Don't waste your time with another used switch like I did as now I have to replace it again. There are 2 sets of contacts and a common ground on the switch. One set of contacts controls the ignition and the other set lights up the display on the dash.

    Lou, rule of thumb (whatever that saying means...) is to never take the first offer! Insurance companies are not in business to give away money, but rather save themselves money...

    Hey capton, if you happen to be coming thru this way around noon be sure to drop in at Earls on rt 16 just north of rt 39 for lunch and say hi to some fellow Ventureriders!! That's the day of my 3rd annual fall folage ride!
