what were they thinking?

A little dab of silicone in a couple of the corners when installing fixes that little problem! You know, if you are creative, and get rid of the vents and tubes, you could use the area for little "Stash" pockets or places for sunglasses, Ipod, etc... -
Yet another CLASS Issue

Gee, Dexx, I would have done it for free for you, having been an electronics tech for over 35 years. But then again, you would have burned close to that in gas coming over and back... -

Welcome to my world, Jack, I suffer from preriferal neuropathy which ncauses constant tingling as well as carpel tunnel. I pretty much have to always wear good riding gloves which does help a lot. If you think zipping your fly is tough, try getting a dime out of your pants pocket...

Went riding with JGorom today and as we were going down NY Route 63 saw a maroon MK1 for sale setting in a vacant lot. Didn't turn around to look closer but from the road it semed to be all there and fairly nice. I don't need another scoot at this time, but it may be a nice one to pick up if anybody in the area is looking for one.

Side covers generally go for $30 - $50 or so on ebay, add some for pristine condition... -
I now have both and am in the process of mounting them where the original horns go. Haven't tooted either of them yet so I can't say if either is louder. The compressor looks identical, the diaphragm covers are diferent shape plastic, and the Bad boy has a plastric cover over the compressor end where the mount is that the stebel doesn't have. I'm thinking the Bad Boy is a better deal...

I use a 1500 Watt electric heater in my insulated 1 car garage and it keeps it around 60 degrees in the middle of winter, and doesn't take too long to get up there either. I'm a little leary of using anything like kerosene or propane heaters in a well insulated garage due to the possibility of CO2 buildup...

As far as duplicates, take yours to any place that cuts keys such as Lowes, Home Depot, etc. and have them made. I don't believe that you can get the original blanks any more. The key code should be on the ignition switch but there is a bit of disassembly involved to be able to read them...
