  1. Yes, Leo, that is the main reason why I MacGuyver'ed the larger Wilwood master cylinder and converted everything to stock Honda CRX rear calipers and CRX rotors!! I didn't even get 1000 miles out of my first set of pads and rotors straight from the Hannigan factory!!I had to replace the brake lines as well, but now I have plenty of stopping power, and there is hardly any wear on my rear pads yet! Those Ducati Monster calipers and Hannigan rotors just didn't cut it! I remember on a ride before the conversion I had to go around a person in front of me at a stop because I just couldn't slow it down fast enough!!
  2. Sorry guys, but we will not be in Florida until next March, but we will keep you advised as we have made many many friends down there through the years!!! Next year calls for a week in some kind of resort and a 1-week cruise, probably leaving from Port Canaveral as we want to try out Royal Carribean like the Oasis...
  3. To quote a Carly Simon lyric, ...So you flew your Lear Jet to Nova Scotia to see a total eclipse of the Sun, and you're so vain, you probably thought this song was about you...
  4. Well, you could try reversing 85 and 86 (the relay coil) but I doubt that is the issue. The minus from the horn compressor should go to ground and the plus should go to either 30 or 87, with 87 being the preferred one but it does not matter. 30 (or 87) should go to the battery positive terminal. As suggested, maybe the relay is a POS especially if it was a cheapie from China... the horn's original wires should go directly to 85 and 86!
  5. Here ya go Snype, read all about it, there is a pathway where the eclipse is total as opposed to partial... https://www.greatamericaneclipse.com/best-places-to-view/
  6. That and the fact that the screws are all Allen head...
  7. Yes, I did mine, and it was plug and play. As far as the metering valve, it is nothing but an orifice so other than maybe cleaning out the hole, there is no real maintenance. The only issue you will run into is how and where to mount the bleeder valve, I just left mine hanging in free space...
  8. Just so you know Red, Robert Scharf is Bongo Bob... We did meet at PIP many years ago!
  9. One of the older rumors was that the "new" touring bike was going to be based on the Strat, and seeing as there is one in the video it might be what it turns out to be. Regardless, my calendar is marked...
  10. Here's another way out in left field thought, but anything is possible. Are those two black plastic heat shields that keep the exhaust heat off the motor still on the bike??
  11. We probably ALL will...
  12. I think all you do now is just unplug the solenoid once you have the venting rerouted. On non-Cali Ventures, the plug is just not used and left empty...
  13. OK, today is a much better day for news!! I will now open up and let you all in on another news issue! Last Monday Becky had a colonoscopy and they found something, and the surgeon was pretty sure it was cancer so he took a biopsy. We have been keeping this quiet but this afternoon we got great news, Becky is cancer free!!! Praise God almighty! We were prepared for her to have surgery in the next few weeks but that won't be needed now!!! So keep praying for both Patti and Scott, and Mike, thank you for starting the go fund me page, there is a lot of additional expenses that insurance most likely won't cover!! Everybody open their hearts and pocketbooks, remember what goes around comes around, give and you will be blessed sometime in return...
  14. Yup Puc, that was Sexi before it grew an appendage! I don't know who made that video, wasn't me, but yes indeed an excellent job!! Brought back very fond memories!! PS Casey, part of being "in the club" is to have your thread hijacked...
  15. Hey Puc, there was a great link after your video to the 2009 International Rally at Dogpatch Arkansas! My '09 was only a couple of months old there, and my trailer was still gold colored and paneled to match the '84...

  17. Not a great day today... 1. B2 Mom was in a 1 vehicle accident today according to Bobbie Powell. She is in the hospital but no major injuries, no broken bones, etc. According to Bobbie's facebook post, she is in good spirits but is staying in the hospital overnight for observations. Their truck may be totaled. 2. Member Mother, who lives on the shore of Lake Ontario, is getting flooded out due to the continual rising of the lake. He showed pictures on facebook of a crew sandbagging, and pictures of his flooded out yard. From what I understand, the lake is supposed to continue to rise for the next week! So, prayers for both people and all involved!!
  18. Tell 'em about that Chili Beer you get Don...
  19. Myself I prefer an oversized shield, and as Snyper mentioned using furniture polish to clean your windshield all the time makes the rain bead up and blow off better!! In this case, the faster you go the better it blows off!! Use plastic chrome door edge protector around the edge of the shield to cut down on the amount of water that rolls back onto the inside of the shield. Also, try a pair of amber hunting/shooting glasses in the rain, you will be surprised at how much it improves your visibility!!
  20. I might be wrong on this, but I thought the proper ratio was 5.1%...
  21. ***SIGH*** Rainy days are sooooo boring...

  23. Hey, uh, Pucster, Temporary Learner's Permit is TLP, not TIP...
  24. That's a lot of work but in the long run probably the most effective!
  25. Ya know who else had super polished engine covers?? Swifty!
