A couple of 2X4's or 2X6's give you the extra room you need. Yes, it makes it possible to remove the rear tire without removing the bags, but by the same token the bags come off easy enough... -
If you hear the pump pumping but nothing is happening then chances are your controller is ok but not necessarily. It is more likely you have a bad airhose, a plugged canister, or the connector for the solenoids that direct the air to front or back has corrosion or something. I'd start at the compressor assy first and check for air pressure and then solenoid voltage getting to the solenoids...

Yah! Front can be taken off while on the centerstand. The rear is a little more work, and needs to be on a MC jack... -
We would like to hit all 48 but not in one trip! We have the rest of our lives to enjoy each and every state on the scoot. Of course we could always fly to Hawaii and rent a scoot there, and brave the trip to Alaska thru Canada as well...

Thanks, Carl, that answers my question about conflicting with your annual get together. Now we stand a chance of making both events! Frog Man, Becky and I will be spending the week of July 4th in Pennsylvania Dutch Clountry area, probably staying at a hotel near Ceedoo's. Maybe we could meet up somewhere inbetween that week for a ride or something. We are also going to try to make the Skid In at least for a day...

Yah! I already put it on my watch list. Not interested in buying it myself, just interested in what kind of a steal someone is going to get!

Well, it IS an Indian... Lotsa work there, Don, and a commitment fer sure. It wlould take up a lot of your spare time, but in the end you would have a very nice bike to be proud of.

Oh, boy, just what you wanted, ANOTHER parts bike...

I almost bought one of those California Special Edition ones but couldn't get the price down enough. Was riding an XS500 at the time. Very nice bikes indeed...

Trunk rack for 86-93
bongobobny replied to 6pak's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Yes, I'm bidding on the rack that ends today. I need it for a larger '85 trunk that is on my list of "to do"for this winter. I like the '85 trunk because it is removable and is the bigger size. I am also in the process of modifying a set of newer saddlebags to work with my rear bumper for additional room there as well...- 11 replies

The '83 was the only year affected by frame cracking. They beefed up the wqeek point with more metal on the '84`up. I believe the frame cracking was around the rear shock mount but I'm not positive on that. I own an '84...

I've often thought of using bungee cords on Becky just so she doesn't fall off...

I have an '85 that I originally bought for parts but decided to try to get running agsain. I'm pulling it into the garage next month to turn it into a winter project. Hasn't run for about 10 years. Turns over but no spark. Got my work cut out for me too!!
