  2. Hmmmm, if I didn't have such a nice job here at Moog supplying you guys with flight control parts, I'd consider relocating where it's warmer! Besides, I retire in less than five years anyway...

  7. I too like the idea of a "loaner" bike, and it wouldn't necessarily have to be a 1st gen either. Registration and ownership could be transfered to whomever needs the bike at the time. Yes, I would contribute to the cause. Brad, you are wrong about Michigan being the worst state. If you don't believe me, come live in NY for a while...
  8. That guy's way out of line! That kind of product appears all the time but not for that much! The average magazine article goes for $10 - $15...

  10. Once you have cleaned it with saddle soap, use the product "Saddle Butter" to condition and renew the leather. Don't just take my word for it, talk to our resident leather expert Gene, Beer30 and he will provide you with all the information you could ever need about leather and leather care!

  13. Yes, no, maybe, not without changing front forks! To eliminate the anti dive, you need to replace your dual banjo bolts with single banjo bolts, and then make all gone with the short hydraulic line and cap off the end at the forks. This is not that great of an idea as the anti dive does work fairly well for what it is designed to do. You can put in progressive springs to alieviate the front end dive when braking hard. What will really help out the braking on Mk1's is to switch to stainless steel lines. Contact Rick H. at Buckeye Performance for a good price on custom made lines...
  14. Maybe I'm missing something. You think the thread is going to be pulled because...
  15. I remember one year some little punk kid stole one bulb out of a string so they wouldn't light up know it was a kid because of the footprints in the snow...

  18. Notice how one pad always wears out more than the other?!!? May be worthwile to switch them when one is halfway worn, that way they may wear more evenly. Yup, you got your money's worth out of 'em!!
  19. Now start keeping of 1st Gens that go up for sale on ebay in pieces! Been seeing more and more going that way. The parts are going in "clumps" and it is probably more profitable (way more profitable) doing it that way...
