    SNOW

Around here we call what you got a "Dusting" Hdhtr...
  2. I do it all the time! It's a good idea to be in the right gear for your speed as you never know when you have to get out of the way in a hurry. As long as you are reasonably matching your RPM's for the lower gear you should be in good shape.
  3. Hmmmmm, is THIS what you called me about asking if I knew what was going on??? I haven't a clue...:confused24:
  4. Gee, Jack, if you want to come here to recouperate you can have all the snow you ever want to see...
  5. Click on the user name, then view public profile, it's there...
  6. OK, I confess, I'm a latent post whore too...
  7. You mean 3247? Niot hidden very well...
  8. With the latest site changes, we can really tell who the Post Whores are, can't we, Squid?!!?
  9. Marx Brothers flicks! I think I like "Horsefeathers" about the best... Caddy Shack is always good... Let's not forget "Animal House"
  10. Looks like a pretty nice scoot for the money...
  11. Smoked for around 20 years or so, and turned it over to Jesus Christ in 1987 and never looked back. Becky did the same thing...
  12. Ahhh!! Forgot about the trunk. The bag hardware bolts right up, but yes the trunk rack is different. I used an '85 so it just bolts on in place of the '84. Actualy, all 3 trunk mounts use the same basic frame with extra stuff added on for each version, i.e. the '85 had extra support welded on, and for the '86 up they added the arms that come down and bolt on to the subframe. I know the saddlebag chrome pieces work as I've already had them bolted up to mine...
  13. Barry, the chrome saddlebag crash bars/mounting frame for the '86 - '92 DOES mount on to the black rear subframe on the '83 - '85 so if you have all of the chrome frame pieces then everything should bolt right up. You will also need the third chrome piece that goes across the back between the left and right saddlebag mounts for stability. You should also install the chrome pasenger grab bars as a convenience as your existing grab bars will not work. The black rear subframe should be the same. You will also have to use the turn signals from the newer saddlebags as the early '83 - '85 turn signals won't fit. I think you werre confusing people here as they normally refer to the '00 - '09 RSV as the 2nd beneration Venture. They refer to the First Generation as the '93 - '92 with the '93 - '85 as the 1st generation Mark (Mk) 1 and the '86 - '92 as the 1st gen Mk 2...
  14. Yahm Squeeze, that's exactly what it looks like out the window! We have had around 10 feet so far this winter...
  15. This is your brain... This is your brain on a cell phone!!!
  16. Arghhhhhh!!!!! Pictures to follow...
  17. Ummm, maybe replace the solenoid with an aftermarket one? I think it is a Ford type that people have been using...
  18. Uhhh, try to avoid "Drag Racing" type of shifting with 2nd. The problem usually doesn't occur until 30 - 50K or more, but the sooner you replace the thrust washer with the better one, the less other work that has to be done. Put it on your list of things to do in the next year or so...
  19. So far I';ve been very happy with Onstar, especially the cell phone feature. I only carry the basic service but it has reminded me a couple of times to reset the oil life monitor. For towing, I just use the Onstar telephone to call AAA...
  20. Oops.sorry, for a second I thought we were talking RSV... Brain fart.
  21. I'm starting to feel REALLY hungry...
  22. I am thinking lotto... Lotto money for a slower bike!!
