  1. It wouldn't be Vogel if we didn't go to the Dillard House. Ken
  2. The hitch is from HF, and the light is from Wal Mart. The pipe and flange is from Lowes. The flag staft is a dowel rod. I bolted the flange to the hitch and also used a U bolt. When bolting to the hitch you will have to cut the plastic on the light so it will slide into the hitch around the nuts from the bolts. I stained the dowel rod and varnished it several times. Looks good standing in a line of flags. I used an bicycle intertube to cover the lower end of the flag staft so it would not get scratched up from the pipe. Not only that, it helps to hold on to the staft. I then got some vinyl to cover the flag, sewed it up and sewed some reflective tape on it. I do not fly the flag while on the Hyway. Sorry about not explaining this before. Ken
  3. This is what I did, I have never had any trouble with it. Ken
  4. If you go to Vogel you can ride mine. I'll be there. Ken
  5. I converted my RSV in '08 with a Hannigan Kit, and I enjoy it. As a two wheel I was getting 45 to 47 mpg depending on how I rode. I now get 32 to 35 mpg. ( I have to agree with Jeff, I like to get off about every 150 miles or so.) I have over 10K on my front tire and still have 2 to 3K left on it. It depends on the roads that you travel. Down here in Florida you have a lot of shell in the pavement on some roads. Tire wear is not so good. When you have it triked besure to have the front raked at least 4 degrees. You'll have better turning and steering. I also put 1 1/2 inch risers on the bars, it helped in turning and I wasn't pushing down on the bars. Ken
  6. PEOPLE, WE NEED TO GIVE LEWIS SOME HELP ON THIS! YOU ALL KNOW HOW MUCH FUN THAT WE HAVE AT VOGEL. (maybe I'm the only one) I ENJOY MEETING EVERYONE AND PUT A FACE TO THE "HANDLES" ON VENTURERIDER.ORG. NOT ONLY THAT, A LOT OF YOU HAVE HELPED ME WITH MY MISTAKES DONE TO MY BIKE. I KNOW THAT TIMES ARE TOUGH, BUT THIS IS OUR TIME WE LOOK FORWARD TO EVERY TWO YEARS. WE NEED TO LET LEWIS KNOW THAT WE WILL BE THERE SO HE CAN SET UP THINGS THE WAY WE HAVE BEEN A CUSTOM TO. LEWIS, I'LL BE THERE, YOU SHOULD ALREADY HAVE MY REGISTRATON.
  7. I go to Dan's Yamaha in Seymour, IN and I live in Port St. John, FL. I don't trust any dealer down here. Gary treats you right. If you go, tell him that Ken from FL sent you. I too change my own oil and filter, etc. I have Dan's check for other things. Ken 1 - UP
  8. I have sent you an e mail regarding the helmet locks. Ken
  9. Joe, If there is a delay, we can take a ride to a "Dude" ranch on HY 68 West of Yeehaw Junction. It's about two hours from my house. The rest. sits on a canal, and there is some "old" west buildings in a town setting. (If I remember right, it's been a long time since I have been there.) That's if the Shuttle doesn't go off as planned. Ken
  10. If you guys come down here to watch the launch let me know. I live by the Space Center in Port St. John. You don't have to go to the causway to see the Shuttle take off. You can go on US 1 and get a good view. You would be about 10 miles away from it. I use to work there. The causway would be great, but if you can't get the tickets come early and pick a place on US 1. Just remember it will be crazy. Make sure that you have a full tank of gas when you go. Traffic leaving will take about 6-7 hours. I plan on going to see it from around the ACE hardware then take in a movie at the SearsTown mall, and get something to eat at the pizza place in the mall. By that time traffic should be thinned down some. They are already talking about some problems with the Shuttle, nothing serious. Just remember that there can be delays and you should plan on it. If some of you are coming down for a couple of days, I have a spare bedroom, also those who bring their sleeping bags might want to "camp" out on my patio by the pool. If things go"South", then we can take a ride through the country side. Or do what ever you want to do. Ken
  11. V 7 Goose has helped me also as he has helped others. If he gives you a hint to fix a problem, you can take it to the bank. Ken

You're too well known!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The bars might be a good thing.
  13. This is what I did to my RSV. I went to this web site and bought a modular http://accessories.etrailer.com/search?w=modulite+wiring+kit&asug=modulite This helped a lot. Make sure that if you do that you get the one for LED lights. You wont have any trouble with you LED's working the way they should. My LED's work just fine. It's not hard to install. Ken
  14. Lewis, I made my res at the Best Western, I saved almost $200. The 11 miles is not that bad of a ride to the Park. Ken
  15. Lewis, I'll make copies and give them to your cousin Jerry, and the others in Indianapolis that said that they wanted to come. Ken
  16. Makes me proud to be one of the "Riders". Thanks for posting this, Ken
  17. Lewis, Jerry keeps telling me that he is going to come this year, and bring my cousin Sonny and his wife. I have also asked a friend Joe and his wife Mary to go, they ride a RSV trike also. I don't know about them, she has had a bout with cancer. She is over her treatmets, we'll just have to see about them. I'm looking forward to seeing everybody this year. I have had fun the last two years that I have gone. There sure are a lot of nice and helpful people on this site. Ken
  18. I'll be heading up that way. I think today I will make my resv. for one of the cabins, if there are any left. I hope you all don't mind, but I have asked a couple of cousins of mine to go, they ride GoldWing Trikes. And, I hope you all give them a hard time about that. Because, they give me a hard time when I ride with them. It's really hard riding the best. Ken:cool10:
  19. I put blue lights, ground affects all over my trike. However, having been in Law Enforcement, I know that I can't run down the street with them on. I only turn them on when I'm sitting in a parking lot. They do look nice with all that chrome and on a white bike. You just can't run with blue light on. Ken
  20. He's pretty much right, I use to handle the bomb dog there and still live in the area. I'm taking my friends and family up to Titusville to the ACE hardware parking lot to watch the shuttle go. So far the weather looks good for that day. But, as it has been said before, things can change, you never know. But with only 3 to go, you have to take the chance. Ken
  21. I called and talked to Chad and ordered one. I want to thank you all for responding. Ken:stickinouttounge:
  22. I want to install a wing on my trunk. Does any one know where I can get one. I'm looking for one that has the brake light in it. I need it for a 2nd gen. Thanks, Ken:fingers-crossed-emo
  23. You're going to love it. I just got done putting ground effect LED lights on mine. This is the 5th trike that we have done. Sure looks pretty at night. The lights that I put on mine are blue, so I can only turn them on when sitting still in a parking lot. Besure and post pictures when you get it home. Ken
  24. i put the 1 1/2 risers on mine and it helped. I had been pushing down on the handle bars and it made it a little hard turning. When i put the risers on i was no longer pushing down on the bars. I do have a "rake" on my bike. I think it is a 4 degree, maybe a 6 degree.
  25. Ruffy, I have a Sirius radio. I like mine. Had it for years. I would suggest getting an adapter to hook into your antena behind the fairing. I did and I don't have to change stations on the FM side when I loose a station. It would be like having one in a car. I would also suggest carrying a "zip" lock bag to cover the radio when it rains. A cheap way to keep it dry. My antena is mounted on the mounting bracket for the radio.
