Anyone experience driveline lash?
rod replied to Monsta's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
A little lash is normal I think. Too much and my first thought would be U joints, then rear end. Good luck Rod -
Have fun on the test ride. Be careful when leaning the fat tire bike over. They tend to be hard to lean and the kind of flop over onece you get them started over. Straight lines the are a hoot. Rod

I don't take the tank all the way off. Just lift it up and put a small block of wood under it. Rod

Have your electrical service checked out. Sounds like a loose/bad neutral wire to me. Plus I agree to check with home owners insurance. Good luck Rod

I think some miss the point. If you are like me putting the ex in the slammer is not as easy as they think. You loved her once and it is hard to do the right thing. Been there done that. Try to forget the past and stay in the present. Do not feel bad for making a decison that is good for you bad for her. You kept your end of the bargen she did not. Do what ever it takes to move on. Best of luck Rod

For the BRC it is SLPR. This lets the student separate the actions, one thing at a time. When you do the demo; slow early, look early, set up for the corner and roll on the throttle. With practice they will shorten the timing but remember one thing at a time while they learn a new skill. Good luck with the RCP Rod- 18 replies

I have removed the mirror from the housing by laying the mirror flat and filling it with carb cleaner over night. I have not done a RSV or RS but it should work if it is glued in. Carb cleaner eats the glue. Good luck Rod

I got my new rear shock in and have a question. On the replacement shock there is an extra hose, where do you hang it? The old one lasted 90,000 miles I hope the new one does as good, wow are they proud of them $$$. Ride safe Rod

We laid my Dad to rest yesterday. He loved the out doors; camping, motorcycling, running, walking, hunting and fishing. He held on long enough to get to know his grandson from Tennessee that he had never met. Thanks to all of you that offered up prayers, it worked. He is out of pain and in a better place. Rod

Turn Signal/Passing Lamp Adapter
rod replied to Coolbreeze's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I have the light bar from Yamaha but the lights/turn signals are off a HD. You may have the same thing. Good luck Rod -
My Dad passed away this morning while being transported home. He is at peace now. My brother and his youngest son (18 years old)came out from Tennessee, so Dad met all his grandkids. When people ask what my Dad was like I say he was what most people try to be. He will be missed. If there are motorcycles in heaven he is riding now. Rod

You need to check the diagram on what ever relay you get for 87 and 87a. Relays come with NO (normally open) or NC (normally closed). You want the normally open terminal for your accessories. Rod

Give me a call 619-670=4351. I am pretty busy with my Dad right now and my brother from Tennessee is coming out, but I will make some time for you. I think Kevin is back in town now too. Looking forward to meeting you. Rod
