Finally! Here it is: 2 months of work, 2 months of asking you guys and gals for advice and help, and now i can finally put the rubber to the road with much pride and even more joy. I have to thank all of you for your help and i hope that my efforts will help resonate the pride that we all have and the respect that comes with being the stewards of these dignified works of art. i realize that this isn't everybody's cup of tea, but for me it couldn't go any other way. i will not be upset at any criticism you may have so don't hold back - i do want your honest opinions. i dont know if i would want to deal with all that,and the 2nd gear issue,if i would of known about these issues i may have waited for a later model, the bike just turned 20000miles so i have time, monty did you tell your grandson to come to take pictures of the hitch?

is there a certain time or a certain mileage when the frame on the 83 will crack, and will i have to remove the engine to fix it and do i want to? should i sell and get a 86 or newer?:sign67:what will i feel when this happens?, the crack i mean

when i found this site i could not believe the cost of membership, all the info,all the connections,all the money i have saved just being a member,and now after a imposed fee,im paying almost the same now as i was when i joined,i like many of you out there would pay alot more to be a member of this honerable club, thanx FREEBIRD.....
