I'm stranded

According to the Interstate rep a full battery should show at least 12.5 volts, a dead 1 shows 11.5 or less. Good luck getting home. -
Are we being gouged? And lets not make this political...

The part that bothers me is when the price of futures per barrel increases, the next morning all the gas stations have raised their price. The gas they are selling is in their pumps so how come? -
A heli coil kit will do a nice job. I use red or green loc-tite on the stainless heli coil then use the bolt to torque and have never had a problem. Works for me.

Hey folks I would like to buy a pair for my 84 but the web site doesn't give me a chance to buy direct. If some could pick up a pair I will send you the money to ship to Manitoba. -
Well my name is not on the list but I have received my bells already so nuff said.

iIf you try to drain the carbs by running the engine you will leave some fuel in the float bowls as the jets are in the top of the carb body. I have found over the years that the best way to store a bike is with sea foam in the tank then run the engine to get the treated fuel into the float bowls and the fuel pump and all the gas lines.

The cost of registering a motorcycle in Quebec !! OMG !!
gscbertrand replied to AngryAmish's topic in Watering Hole
Manitoba has that beat hands down. The cost for my 1984 xvz1200 is $1800.+ per year. We get 5 months of riding in a good year. -
Wow you have nice roads down there. Thanks for the memories not with you in person but in spirit.
-
Depending on price I would like 2 or 3.

There is an 84 in town with over 600,000 KM on it and still gets used every year.
-
I'm not sure what was intended either. Are you bragging or complaining?
-
up here I'm paying $1600.00 a year and we only get 5 months to ride if we're lucky.

Your neighbor to the north is a metric country. If you need things in metric (tools,o-rings...) or anything else, you need only ask and I'm sure we could accommodate you very easily. I have read a few posts where people from down south have had some difficulty finding tools that are metric that we could get from a number of different retail outlets. So give us a heads up and someone, myself included will do our best to help. This on line family is the best bunch of people I have ever associated with. Happy and healthy new year to all of you on this site.

I have never had a good reason to get my passport, it sounds like an awesome time. Have fun all.

I sure hope you folks in the south have a rats ass to give when hurricane season has ended.

Improper air pressure can cause cupping as well as balance. I have heard that an imbalance of the fork oil will aid in cupping the tire.

Perhaps it's the starter relay? If you can get a known relay that works switch them and see what happens. -

Have you checked your air filter? -
Ear plugs are recommended for all motorcycle riders as the wind noise creates permanent hearing loss.

The part number for the 84 is #41v-83963-01-00 according to my source. But it shows as discontinued.

My Honda 900f stopped dead 4 houses from home, turned out to be a lose terminal on the solenoid. Good luck!
