  1. Is it chewing or flaking, can't tell from the pic.
  2. We used to have mouse issues, but we got a mobile mouse trap. That trap worked for squirrels, moles and even gophers. The trap wore out after a few years so we got another. Now we have three traps and no mice. All the traps are stored outside so they are always set and armed.
  3. I had the clunk in my 83 and when I pulled the front springs and measured them, they were well below the minimum length. I replaced them with a set of progressive springs and fixed the clunk and made the world of difference in ride and handling. Comparing the stock to the progressive was like comparing a chicken leg to a turkey leg

  17. milage is right for 2nd gear
  18. Got the same issue, We have the truck and 5th wheel trailer, and no way to bring the bike. I have no issues pulling a second trailer, but in some areas you aren't allowed to pull two trailers. I think the toy hauler is the way to go
  19. Nice
  20. Tom I had this exact surgery a year ago last July, Two nights in the hospital and as soon as I could I was up and walking (shuffling) as best I could. I feel good and the back pain is gone. I couldn't drive for six weeks and could not understand why, until the Dr. gave me the go ahead and drive, You do a lot of turning when you drive. Like the others have said do what the Dr says. I know a guy who had the same surgery and did not do what he was told. He was into a walker and cane for a while. Do what the Dr says
  21. Have not rode in about three weeks and am getting shaky already and a long way to go until spring:depressed:
  22. The older I get the more I dislike that word, But can't do anything about it yet
  23. It lives, Done a little more checking today and the starter plungers (choke) weren't opening all the way. Got them working and she fires up and would only run with the choke on. lots of smoke but I have a pretty heavy dose of sea foam in the gas. Does not seem to want to idle but does rev pretty good. I didn't get a chance to check the idle adjustment. The float bowel are pretty much right up to gasket joint of the bowel it's self. Is there anything else I should be looking at with respect to the idle? Still have to change the final drive fluid and fork seals as well as the brake fluid. Wish I had a battery to ride this thing and make it work a bit.
  24. Filter is good and it filler the bowels
  25. Well it progresses. Carbs came off, that was a treat, When I opened them up they were clean. The bowels were spotless and all jets seemed clear. Wone the fight to get them back on, and cleaned up the reserve tank. It was about 1/4 full of junk. Everything back together put fuel into the reserve tank only because the other tank is off. Cleaned all the lines filter is Ok. Fuel pump cycles and the carb bowels fill. She fires but will not run, Dump a little gas in the cylinders and she fires until the fuel burns out. Plugs are dry when I take them out despite the choke being on. Looks like the carb fight is on again, unless I an missing something. Any suggestions, I have over hauled lots of theses mukuni carbs off snow mobiles and have not had this issue. Does the main tank have to be on??
