had some about 40 miles east of here, but none at my house fortunately.

be safe. Better to lose a day of work than have an accident.

So I should just bring a lawn chair and sit back with my bowl and spoon, and don't plan on doing anything to distract me. I mean after riding 800 miles to get there, the bike should have had all maintenance done beforehand...

so how fast will it go? I presume it won't outrun the police?

Good snag on the RSTD Mark. Yes it is somewhat less top heavy than the RSV. Put a 130width front tire on it and its even better, Yours probably has the factory tires on it, good tires improve the handling some more, Avons work very well on mine.

probably powdered carnuba wax. You can still buy it powdered if you look online. It is the main ingrediant in some liquid & paste waxes as well.

Good work Bill.

Here in Dahlonega, GA is the Gold Museum. Dahlonega was the site of the first US gold rush in 1829 and there was a US mint here that exclusively minted gold US coins from 1838 until 1861. The origonal D mint mark was Dahlonega. There's a complete set of Dahlonega minted gold coins on display (one of 3 known on public display), exhibits of mining, the mint, and local history. We're about 25 miles south of Vogel if you're coming to the Tail of the Dragon VR rally in August. The museum is run by the GA State Parks. http://www.gastateparks.org/info/dahlonega/ Oh yes. We're 2 hours south of the Wheels thru Time motorcycle museum of theprevious post.

The first thing to do is run a couple tanks of gas thru it with a can of seafoam in each tank. Then sync the carbs. The sea foam will clean out many carbs, the back fire may just be carbs needing tuning. Many members here have their own sync tool. They cost under $100, are easy to use, and it takes about 30 minutes. find a member nearby with the tool to show you how to do it. He'll probably work for icecream. -

Tornado warning about 10:30 last night. My two dogs went bananas when the siren went off. I decided to head for a workshop with its own walls down in the basement. Trying to convince the dogs to go to the basement was interesting. Lost power shortly thereafter and I just stayed down there for about 45 minutes with a battery LED light. The storm front passed quickly and left no local damage that I could perceive, in fact the hail didn't happen either as far as I could tell. So, despite the severity of the forecast, it wasn't as bad of a storm, or have the duration of the one a week ago. The power came back on sometime in the middle of the night. edit... I just saw the news. I guess I was just lucky. Several people were killed nearby and quite a bit of destruction in Georgia from the storm.

again. just had the same last week. This one looks even uglier than last week. The big radar map shows it stretching from New Orleans to Pittsburg. I raced the front edge of it home an hour ago and got hit with a few drops of rain and some wind gusts. Looks like all H is going to break out from the weather map. probably thats whats happening from Huntsville to Nashville right now. Got the bikes under the carport and a blanket thrown over the car.

custom seats, as they look pleated. Custom front brake rotor cover. Looks like some extra chrome engine bits, but can't tell for sure from the profile pictures. The luggage rack is an add-on and the backrest may not be standard. good looking bike.

retirement isn't all its cracked up to be. for example, this afternoon I have to decide on whether or not to finish planting my garden, or take a motorcycle ride. Oh the stress I have to go thru.

glad you found the source of the problems and are on your way to being ready for riding season.
