  1. Annie, where are you and Al headed next? I saw something about Pork In The Pines.
  2. This is good news. I'll cross post this to the origonal thread.
  3. hurricane party at Eck's place this weekend..
  4. I'm 3 hours north of Macon (add an hour if its Atlanta rush hour), and not on the direct route from much of anywhere. But, I will get to the hospital to visit Tom soon. Hopefully Tricia (GAWildcat) gives us a good report on Tom today.
  5. This is good news, that Tom is able to make tele calls to friends.
  6. Prayers still going out for David
  7. so drive shafts do break once in a while??? Hopefully a 1st gen thing....
  8. supposedly with ABS wheel lockup is prevented. I agree that built in air compressor isn't needed. another nice to have is a rear wheel that can be easily removed from one side only ala BMW. Requires a center stand to do this on the road though. I'm perfectly happy with a 1300cc 98hp engine. I don't need to ride over 120mph. 55mpg would probably tempt me to buy new. keep the 5 year warranty and design in ease of self maintenance. I'm surprised no one mentioned to have a beefed up rear shock?
  9. when pads wear, the pistons are more extended. that accounts for some of the fluid. I'll note also when filling with new pads in place, that the pistons may be back farther than needed until the brakes are used a few times and the new pads settle in. So maybe they weren't filled as much as you thought. This may or may not have anything to do with what you're seeing.
  10. Ask Condor....
  11. Thanks Monty. Tom Daroza is in intensive care at Medical Center of Central Georgia 777 Hemlock Street Macon, GA 31201 Ph: 478.633.1000 The tele operator wouldn't give me any further details since I said I wasn't a family member. A family member will have to give me a 'passcode'. So waiting to get more data. Tricia, Thanks for checking in on Tom on Tuesday. Robin, Thanks for the updates.
  12. I've called the 2 hospitals in Macon that do medivac, Coliseum and Medical Center and neither have a Tom Foreman. Is "Foreman" Tom's correct last name? I'm just going by the answering message at his father's phone (may be a step father with different name). is there another hospital I should check?
  13. Thanks Robert. I called Tom's dad Bill, and got an answering machine message from the Foreman's. I left a message of support from Ventureriders and asked them to call me with more info.
  14. 1539 photos. Going to make a fresh cup of coffee before I start the slide show. Good seeing you two at Vogel. I missed the fact that Jacque was there. So how come she wasn't helping distribute raffle prizes this year?
  15. I suspect your problem is something else. I went from stock windshield to a Showchrome short-wide and didn't see any change in mileage on my recent trip to Cody. still get 40+mpg at 65mph
  16. prayers sent for Tom's recovery. I presume he's in a hospital in Macon, GA. I see several hospitals on the map, not sure which one would take a medivac emergency? Does anyone have Tom's last name, its not in his profile? Is there someone here who is a riding friend of Tom's who could call his father?
  17. I'm about 4 hours away. I don't have a MC trailer at the moment. Not sure what help I could be.
  18. Redheads aren't issued ammo.
  19. Lets see, where did I put that pin for the hand grenade ????
  20. Eck's Goldwing just looked like it was going faster
  21. Prayers for your sister Hal. Ponch, be strong brother.
  22. Does the grinding noise continue, or is it a one-time noise when you release the clutch in neutral?
  23. amen Thanks to Lewis and Charlene and all those who made this a great rally.
