  1. so how come the interlock on the kickstand even lets the engine run? Mine would act like a kill switch if down an inch. Maintenance item? sounds like bs to me. I'd call Yamaha customer service.
  2. Tell her you must need some training.....
  3. Annie, I have ordered 4 high res picture images of you and Al on the Dragon. I'll send you a PM of links to them once I receive them. Here are the low-resolution proofs.
  4. My philosophy is: if something is dragging, I'm 1/10 of an inch from an accident. btw. I ordered the 4 photos above of Aussie Annie and AL for them as momentos of their trip. The web page 129slayer is VERY difficult to use, and difficult to order from in my opinion. But, I did eventually navigate it with effort.
  5. Here are some proofs taken by this web site.

  7. We could hold the international at either Vogel or Asheville... It's probably cooler in upstate NY though... Personally, I liked the idea of the nearby amusement park at Darien Lake... Of course there is Dolly World in Tennessee not far from Gatlinburg, TN or Maggie Valley, NC.
  8. http://staydarienlake.com/ http://www.nysparks.state.ny.us/parks/144/details.aspx Could be fun....
  9. A day ride to Deep Creek Lake in Maryland will get you some good roads and scenery. Union Town Gap in PA is a historic area.
  10. I'm betting Mr. Yamaha local dealer doesn't stock something like that.
  11. And many more. Congrats George and Bobbie..

  14. I on 3 mostly wooded acres with continuous woods winding thru the nearby hillsides.. About 3 am this morning I'm awoken by the distant and unmistakable baying of a beagle in the distance. I've heard one in the woods before. But... he gets closer and closer. Now I have 2 large dogs, both of whom are barkers themselves, including a year old female lab-pyrenees mix who must have swallowed a Stebel air horn when she was a pup. Its cooling off nicely at night now, so I have the windows open. So both of my dogs join in the chorus, to show support for the beagle hot on the trail of something. I'm hoping the beagle catches the rabbit that has been eating my garden flowers. He gets closer, or louder depending on ones viewpoint. My 2 dogs are going nuts. Well, whatever he was chasing must have just gone up a tree just outside my bedroom window. Isn't that nice!! The beagle sits there for what seemed an hour, but was probably only 10 minutes or so, letting loose. I'm tempted to get my shotgun out of the closet and shoot either whatever was being chased, or maybe the beagle.. but I refrain, neighbors would just call the police and I'd never get any sleep. I try to wrestle my 2 dogs to the floor to shut them up, but did you ever try to hold 2 80lb squirming dogs at once while they were intent on exercising their god-given voices? I give up and get a bowl of icecream and flip open my laptop computer to see what other fools are posting to the internet at this hour of the morning. I see the chinese spammers are busy at work tonight... Whatever went up the tree, seems to have escaped. I hear the beagle's call fading over the hill. My 2 dogs want a biscuit. Did I mention that I hate beagles?
  15. sounds like you're going to be the expert on doing transmissions after doing yours twice..

  18. The West Virginia/Western Maryland/SW PA area has some good riding
  19. Thanks Tricia. I expect we'll hear from Tom once he's back home and feeling better.
  20. Mark, Freebird will have to come up with a Recruiter of the Month medal for your profile. Hopefully its cooled off a bit over what the temps were riding to Cody? Randy
  21. Tom wasn't hanging around with Bubba at Vogel was he?
  22. Downtown St. Louis has been renovated and the old Union Station is a cultural center. Forest Park and the St. Louis Zoo are must see's as well as the St' Louis Symphony or Muni if you're so inclined. Might as well get your picture taken under the Arch. There are only short strips of the old Route 66 thru Missouri, most of travel will be on I-44. The Merrimac Caverns and Onandoga Cave are worthwhile visiting in Missouri. In Springfield, MO is the mothership of Bass Pro Shop, maybe the biggest sporting goods store in the world. I always stop there. It has its own restaurant inside.
  23. Considering how Tom looked on Thursday, this is a lot sooner than I expected. Good for Tom. The healing process will work much better once he's at home. Tricia, thanks very much for all you've done for Tom and for keeping us updated.
  24. ... turning wrenches with my friends, I can't wait to be on the side of the road again.. That one?
  25. prayers sent for your cousins.
