I believe the 130/90-16 front is the same size as the Avon I'm running on my RSTD and like very much. Its narrower than the stock 150/80-16.

or with the engine off, just pull in the clutch lever and roll the bike in gear. if it doesn't roll the clutch may be 'locked up'. that could be a problem in the clutch line in any of several places.- 43 replies

0 ohms means a closed circuit or not open (what you get by touching the 2 probes together which is how you calibrate the meter) infinity means an open circuit. (high end of scale) 1 means some resistance, but not very much. probably not right. Just reread your statement.if your meter reads 1 when the probes are apart, then yes, thats an open.- 43 replies

So does this mean that if a traffic light malfunctions at a no turn on red intersection, everyone in Chicago just waits for the street department to fix it???

Can I get one with a doggie cushion in back?

I hate to say it again, but many LEO and judges don't seem to care what happens to motorcyclists. Its good to see this LEO make a statement like he did. If a driver can't see a motorcycle, then they can't see a bicycle, or skateboarder, or grandma with her walker either. I say this while living in a county where the local DA refused to charge a deputy who killed a motorcyclist last year by turning accross a road to pursue a speeder and didn't look at what was coming the other way.

the title of this thread should be "proceding thru a malfunctioning traffic signal". You're not proposing running a red light.

Cruise control acting strange
RandyR replied to wes0778's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Walt, How fast were you going? The cruise doesn't work below a certain speed. I found that if I'm riding with cruise just above the minimum speed and hit a bump which drops my speed below the min, that the cruise acts strangely. I don't recall if what I saw was exactly what you are seeing though. Its happened a couple times to me, and I've decided the cruise doesn't work on low speed bumpy roads. -
1st Gen Venture with EFi?
RandyR replied to twigg's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
I think the 'better gas mileage' is a maybe proposition. Triumph went from carbs to FI on their Bonneville line a few years back, the bikes otherwise being mostly unchanged. The fuel economy did not improve per a Triumph dealer I talked to. -
I am running Avons on my RSTD, although its mostly 1up. They run much better than the Bridgestones I replaced. I went with the 130 width front tire and feel the handling is much better at slow speed and in the twisty mountain roads. Only about 8,000 on the rear tire and 5,000 on the front, but not much wear yet. If getting an Avon be sure to get the H rated tire, not the V rated which I mistakenly did. While the V has a higher speed rating (and is for the VMax) Avon says its a softer rubber compound than the H rated tire and the V won't get as many miles out of it.

I bought 2 blanks on ebay and took them to my local ACE since they didn't have the blanks. neither key would work right. After taking the gas cap in to the key maker, got both of them to work in the gas cap, but neither would work right in the ignition. member here Ken in Calhoun GA is able to make keys using the number code

A friend of mine recently got a small box to attach to her TV that talks to her DSL wireless router and provides TV access. I'd never heard of this before. but it seemed to work ok. It also has a bunch of music only channels.

My stepfather was a truckdriver. He taught me about the important things in life, like WaffleHouse. I could eat waffle and sausage for breakfast everyday, except every once in a while get a double hashbrowns all the way.
