I wonder if I'll have the sense to know when to park it? probably not...

Use one of the special zero-loss small hand pumps for the suspension instead of the same pump used for the tires.

While I do shoot a 9mm semi-auto pistol, I like to shoot a .38 revolver because its more economical. 9mm almost requires copper jacketed bullets where-as lead cast bullets are fine for most .38 target shooting. economy = more practice time at the range

I have a Ruger Redhawk in .41mag. I almost posted about the matching caliber Marlin lever rifle in .41mag, but its not current production and I don't think many were made when it was in production. for those just thinking along these lines, the pistols in large rifle calibers that Flyinfool was refering to are probably Thompson Center Contender single shot pistols. They are good for hunting and specialized silhouette shooting at long range. One of the TC single shots is an excellant training/plinking target pistol in .22rimfire at a shooting range.

Ruger makes the M77/357 and M77/44 bolt action rifles that shoots .357magnum cartridges or .44mag And the economy choice at under $300 new would be a singleshot H&R Handi Rifle

The Marlin lever action rifle in .44mag is a decent short range deer rifle. However the same cartridge in a handgun packs a real whallop and I find it uncomfortable to shoot. A Marlin 1894c in .38/.357 is a marginal hunting rifle but in a handgun is much more comfortable and economical to shoot. One should shoot it enough to be comfortable with whatever you choose. .38/.357 shoots either .357 magnums or .38 specials. http://www.marlinfirearms.com/Firearms/Cowboy/1894_45Colt.asp Here's a link to a discussion of the .38/.357 loads. http://www.thehighroad.org/archive/index.php/t-558787.html Rossi (Brazil, and very high quality) also makes a line of lever action rifles (and pistols) that share the same caliber. http://www.rossiusa.com/product-list.cfm?category=8 And, there's the Winchester M1892. very nice, but have become very pricey. http://www.winchesterguns.com/products/catalog/detail.asp?family=022C&mid=534177

buy the 2000 rsv and then use the money you saved to buy an RSTD backup bike.

If you're coming from the north, then Marysville TN has a lot of rooms. Depending on how your schedule I may be able to meet you at Deals Gap. btw. The lunch crowd at Deals Gap can be big and very slow on weekends. Its a show unto itself, but don't plan on a quick bite to eat there.

Rick What are your thoughts on using a less aggressive pad material like semi-sintered or ceramic (kevlar) instead of the more aggressive HH sintered that so many people like?

Thanks. I hadn't seen these V pads before. I just ordered a set of EBC FA organic pads but will keep an eye on this thread to see how people like these new pads.

The watts drawn is what is of concern to your bikes electrical system. Or amps (this amp means amperage current flow, not amplifier). watts = amps times volts (always 12volts). so either watts or amps going up means more load on your electrical system. Now to confuse things, many bulb manufacturers state that THEIR 60 watt bulb is equivalent to a regular (what ever type) 90 watt bulb's brightness. Thats not the same thing as saying it actually draws 90 watts from the electrical system. Lumens is the correct measure of light but the marketing guys have to earn their pay by being creative. More lumens aka light is OK though. make sense? also, its not a good idea to exceed the watts or amps drawn of the OEM bulb. because to do so means that more heat will be generated and you're likely to exceed the ability of the socket and reflector (if there is one) to handle the extra heat.

Shoei customer service did answer this question via email There is a difference between the two shields, a C-10 will not fit a helmet that needs a C-10A shield, and vis versa. Please note that all helmets that use these shields have been discontinued for many years, and we suggest they be replaced, as they are past their service life. I have a Shoei RF-200 helmet with a slightly scratched C-10 clear shield. I'd like to get a new shield, but Shoei and Shoei dealers no longer carry replacements for helmets over 5 years old. In fact Shoei removes all FAQ's for helmets over 5 years old from their web site. I can find NOS tinted C-10 shields but the clear ones I can find (currently) are C-10A and the mounting tab seems to be slightly different. Does anyone know if the C-10A shields will fit where a C-10 is in use?

I'm the one with the cabin. The cabin I reserved is a large single room, not divided into bedrooms. Thats why it was fairly cheap. Its probably best to think of it as a large man-cave for the week. I think someone else with wife has already approached me and I replied the same way. So there are people out there looking to share a cabin or motel suite. Just post a thread asking.

Avon Tire Question ??? Help ....
RandyR replied to FuzzyRSTD's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
The tread pattern for the front Am41 includes a center groove, whereas the rear AM42 does not. I'd use the tire designed for the front. -
Thanks for the reminder. I need to replace the cupped ME880 on the front of my Millenium RSV. I have an almost new Dunlop Elite III on the rear. Dennis Kirk has the Elite III 150/80H-16 front for $123.99 + 5 = $128.99 shipped. on order..... I almost ordered a set of Avons to stash away, the price is so good for the rear tire, and thats what I use on my RSTD, but I won't need new tires there until next year or maybe the following.
