    New Scoot

Sweet. We saw it first at the March on Rome M&E 2weeks ago.
  3. Martin slants the internal bracing to emphasize the bass notes. Not all guitarmakers do it that way. But it gives Martins a distinct sound.

    New MKX

sounds like a good deal. I've always liked the Lincoln-Mercury products.
  12. Thats cause the dealer's setup guys try a few wheelies accross the back parking lot on them before turning the new bikes over to sales.
  13. I love computer upgrades. Salesman. yep. Microshank 22 is faster and more efficient than MS 21. You'll love it. Me. Great. So I won't need to upgrade my computer then, right? Saleman. Microshank 22 won't run on your old processor and requires 99 jillibytes of memory, check out this new Deldo model here for only 5k, its got all the latest stuff. Me. I love stuff.
  14. If you want to see and try a LOT of guitars, Elderly is the place to be. I love the Larrivee guitars. If I was buying a Martin, I might grab one of their 000 size. Just sold 1 of my high end Larrivees, the money has gone fast for gardening supplies.
  15. tell people you have a free prize for whoever guesses the number you are thinking of. 771480

  17. Steve. I'll be glad to help.
  18. twigg, when the wind was pushing you around, did you try running in 4th gear instead of 5th? I'm not sure about the 1st gen gear ratios, but on the 2nd gen where both 4th and 5th are overdrives, I would not be using 5th gear into a headwind or when running uphill. Your mileage is poor. But I have heard of similarly poor mileage in a strong headwind. just thinking aloud. I may try for a 1,000 mile run this year just to see how things go. I probably won't find interstates here in the southeast where I can average 70mph though.
  19. I'm wondering if there are some stretches of interstate that are better than others for the 1500 mile BBG? I would think that min of 70mph or + and few stretches thru cities with 55mph. would be best. I would think that even at 75mph one should average 35mpg so a 4 gallon aux tank that fully drains should provide 9x35= 315 miles with 1 gal safety margin. (6 gallon 2nd gen tank). avoiding construction appears to be a must.
  20. maybe he got some gas with water in it.
  21. lowering links for the rear and/or lower the front triple tree. Many threads on this. just do a search. Lowering links for the rear require the rear brake caliper to be relocated. somehave fabricated their own. Kits are forsale. Lowering the front seems to be easy based on the write-ups. Just loosen the triple tree and slide the forks up & re-tighten.
  22. see you next year. we'll keep the party going until then...
  23. two models, but then the California version of each makes 4.
  24. You have a good dealer. Most would try to blame you for breaking it.
  25. I've bought reloading supplies from FF&F at Camp Perry where they set up on Commercial Row during the National Matches. They have usually had good prices and selection. I rode by their store as I left Freebird's 2010 maintenance day and was very tempted to stop and deposit all my money. So bring that Kimber to MD to show off. The fishing gear doesn't look all that expensive now, does it?
