The RSTD is a fine machine. Easier to work on than the Ventures as long as you don't need the extras. btw. its not real unless you post a picture.

Radial tires for 2nd Gen RSV
RandyR replied to dshege's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
You won't hear much applause for the Bridgestones. Radials aren't common in our size and weight requirements. The most popular tires are Avon Venoms, and Dunlops. Some like the Metzlers, but many think they throw tread (I like them and have never had a problem with them). There are dozens of threads about tires, the most popular topic after oil choice. -
while straight, not while leaning. I put a 1x4 under the kickstand to bring it almost level, then tilt the bike the rest of the way while looking at the sight glass. Some people use a dental/inspection mirror while seated on the bike.

A trailer needs to easily track the motorcycle. I think the dual axle makes this dangerous.

Whew. I was wondering what trouble Dillon had gotten himself into. Apple is just a passing fancy. He'll grow out of it.

saw a video of the tornado going thru a truck/trailer parking area and big trailers being thrown way up in the air. Orange colored trucks & trailers. I know I've seen them on the road but can't remember the company.

Ruffy, you should be able to make it to the beach if you can drive 20 miles...

I wear them once in a while, not as often as I should. I took out one of the tailbone protector pads to make sitting more comfortable. haven't had problems with the hip pads.

Brian, Steve and I rode from Dahlonega up around Vogel and over to Ellijay to enjoy some of Col Pooles bbq for dinner after a little ride. The rain skirted Ellijay while we were at the Cols and I chased rain clouds and wet roads all the way back home, but missed getting rained on. So pretty much a perfect day. SteveW. Thanks again for hosting us, providing coffee, donuts, and lunch.

fwiw, when I got my used 2000 RSV, the fuel petcock did not shut off the fuel (I presume when worn). I notice there is a later eco for the petcock, which may address that issue.
