  2. I suggest try to make one of the Meet & Eats in your area and get one of the experienced riders to take a look-see.
  3. Grass is like in-laws. They grow where you don't want them. And when you need them, they're no where to be found. Buy a goat.
  4. I'll just send the whole kit. shims, feeler gauges, some picks, a magnet, a shim pop tool made by Dingy.... I'll get it into tuesday's mail. do you have gaskets? btw 2nd gen gaskets work (better) than 1st gen gaskets.
  5. looking good. looks like you'd have had to take off exhaust pipe tips if it had them too.
  6. Paypal will work, or a check for postage when returned. I'd rather not be without the kit for an extended period of time, but could get it to you in 2-3 days via Priority Mail. Lets say, barring unforeseen problems, would like to have the kit back to me in 2 weeks. I haven't used it in over a month. But sometimes there's a backlog of people wanting it. If its not too much trouble, I have a member manufactured shim tool that we'd like tested and will send it along with the shims if I haven't gotten a chance to test it otherwise first. Randy
  7. Bill, I have a shim set I'd be glad to send you. I would ask that any shims in short supply be replaced when you're done with it and you pay postage. RandyR
  8. don't even use 4th in town. 4th is for over 50-55mph. 5th gear is for over 65mph (and no head wind, use 4th in a headwind). as mentioned, check to make sure you're firing on all 4cyclinders. Let the engine cool. start it up. carefully feel for heat near the exhaust headers.
  9. whats the part number of what you ordered & have vs what you should have?
  10. praying for him to come out of this 100% Thanks for keeping us posted

    So ECK

sounds like a good destination for a M&E sometime in the future. The problem with fresh donuts is they seldom make it home...
  12. a prayer sent. May he quickly be on the mend.
  13. Looks like a Yamaha man.
  14. another prayer may just tip the scales in her favor...
  15. prayer sent. too many people being hurt.
  16. ah. motorcycle trailer. You did say trailer. I had truck on my mind when you said trailer. big difference. Quote somebody else "all conclusions are big enough to jump to"
  17. glad to hear they're home.
  18. a prayer sent.
  19. Prayers sent.
  20. I big trike with (I presume) small block chevy engine. And 'surprise' the city has added some motorcycle parking.
  21. So. I added Oberlin,OH to my weather map saved locations this morning in anticipation of MD. it came up with 34F for today. Is Don going to offer electric oil heaters to the campers? Ice fishing on the pond?
  22. I don't wear patches, but that looks nice.
  23. My replacement (if any) would be a 1000cc machine that averages 50+ mpgallon highway, has the storage capacity and comfort of a RSV with a fixed fairing and adjustable windshield at 700 lbs weight with a seat height no more than 30inches. 4 cylinder, shaft drive, water cooled peferably. Did I mention reliable and as easy to work on and maintain as a Venture?
  24. most riders add more lights or reflectors, not remove them. Adding more lights seems to be a reflex reaction to a near miss at night. Or just a concern for the priceof plastic surgery...
