  1. Go to the local Beer Store with your 3/4ton PU and load upwith cool ones. Fill each trailer with cold 6packs, counting as you go. Which ever trailer holds the most 6packs wins. Give me the losing trailer full of beer.
  2. Too bad you didn't get what you were looking for.
  3. somewhere on this forum there is a description of the bracket needed to make an OEM pillow top fit an RSTD. There is a small possibility that non-OEM RSV seats might have taken some liberties with their fitment for a dualseat.
  4. I wonder if this is our ex member GigaWhiskey ? Seen in Dahlonega, GA recently.
  5. Here's a few more MD pics.
  6. I posted a comment on the web page that the engine picture is incorrect.
  7. The shopmanual is in the tech section.
  8. I have something scheduled both saturdays already. Maybe I can get away though. BBQ sounds good... I won't vote.
  9. Encyclopedia Britanica instead of Google
  10. There is one on my RSV from the previous owner. I like using it in addition to using cruise control
  11. We'll miss not seeing you and Al. After a few beers one night I'll lead a chorus of Waltzing Matilda
  12. let me know if you want any of the oversize shims I have to grind down?
  13. Tom, thanks for checking. I owe ya a BIG icecream.... Guess I can just dump the bag I brought back from MD with dirty clothes in the washer & drier, and I'm good to go.
  14. Guess I was just trying to make sure I hadn't forgotten anything, which I'm prone to doing
  15. is there a consolidated list of who's registered & paid what?
  16. Heres a pic of a Honda Varadero 1000. I wasn't familiar with the model. The ride from Prudhoe is quite a feat. I had a brother who worked part of the year in Coldfoot for several years, and he had some interesting stories.
  17. I like the setup. I'm not sure I'm up for the Iron Butt rides you make though. I presume this article is about you? (no Miles was the previous record holder) http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/608/3739/Motorcycle-Article/Yamaha-FJR-Sets-Continent-Crossing-Record.aspx http://www.bmwmoa.org/forum/showthread.php?t=36308
  18. I'm trying to get my mind to accept the fact that a human being can ride from Prudhoe Bay to Key West in 4 days... How many Dairy Queen stops is that? Probably don't want to be seen as encouraging people to pretend they are doing a movie style Cannonball Run etc.. I'll be curious to see what kind of seat mod (if any) you finally settle on for the RSTD. I have both an RSTD and an 00 RSV, and like the old style RSV seat with Butler mod, slightly better. And prefer the RSV stock seating postion slightly better. I have wondered about the solo seat available for the RSTD and would love to borrow one for a long ride some time, just to try out. Back to origonal post. Bob. looks like you're going to have good weather for your ride. Did you get a new front tire put on the RSV??? It was looking mightly thin after we got back from MD.
  19. I try to top at Fatz Cafe when driving thru Franklin,NC. Or any Fatz for that matter. A SC restaurant that has gone the franchise route and has several restaurants in this area.
  20. I looked this up and found: I just changed the plugs (and one COP coil) on my 2002 Escape V6. Yes, you have to remove the upper intake to get to the 3 plugs on the rear bank. It's not very difficult. The o-ring -like gasket set is about $10 from Autozone.
  21. was that a halibut in the back seat?
  22. heal fast jeff. I lived for a couple months in a sofa chair recliner when I had broken ribs.
  23. Tom, Thanks for keeping us posted. Bob, get well soon.
  24. probably a loose wire or connector. Raining here this morning.
