Got home to Georgia about an hour ago, 3:30pm. Rode interstates much of the way. Rode in the rain on-again-off-again for about 5 hours until I got to Pittsburgh, PA. Took an hour detour to ride WV16 along the Gauley River and then stayed overnight in Beckley,WV. About a 7 hour ride home from there today. The view of the mountains above Asheville from US23 crossing into NC from TN in the morning has to be one of the most beautiful sights.

The RSV doesn't have a pump for the air shock. The older Gen1 VR did. Buy a $30 Harley no loss hand pump and carry it in a saddle bag. Its small and takes 1 minute to give the shock a shot of air.

The 99 and on RSV and 05 forward RSTD should be the same.

To see what a REAL PITA is, wait until yamaha puts the new VMAX engine in the 2014 Venture.... Or buy any bike where you have to remove the cams to adjust the valve clearance.

You could probably talk to Steve Wagner who makes the painted radiator grills to find out the correct paint, and maybe his source. -
I'm in.

Just tie a frozen chicken to the luggage rack. Pour some BBQ sauce on it, and go for a ride. Dinner will be ready when you get home.

As soon as my right hand healed enough to swing an 8lb sledge hammer, I'd show that rock who's boss....

If the individual stopped had his license plate blocked out, then my suspicion is he was part of the mob. And he had temporarily slowed down and dropped back to take the other illegal riders video (or evidence depending on one's perspective). Thats a different scenario than just randomly stopping a legal rider because you're PO'd at the other motorcyclists. -maybe- Just like the lookout outside a bank during a robbery is still a part of those guilty.

Sorry to hear about the situation. Glad you're still with us though. Fill us in on what happened when you can.

I had a BMW K1100, 4-cyl version of this bike for several years. It has a lot going for it mechanically, if you can adjust to its strange looking engine. The K75 is on my short list for a medium sized street machine if I buy another bike. There are lots of them out there with over 100,000 miles on them. Good find.

Its the front tire. (99.9%)

Could it be the synthetic oil???
RandyR replied to BigLenny's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
What kind of synthetic oil? I use synthetic oil and don't have clutch slippage. (Rotella T6 and have used Mobil 1 4T). Does the label say friction reducing ?
