One of the things I remember about a trip across Europe in a car were the very large American Military cemeteries I saw, and stopped at.
  4. Pastor Paul, get well fast my friend.
  5. just double up on your cholesterol pills
  6. Good luck at the Dr Taters......
  7. No (noticeable) mileage difference between my RSTD and RSV (now departed). 42mpg cruising 65mph, 1up, no trailer. From Yamaha, the weights are: RSTD Dry Weight: 787 lb RSV Dry Weight: 807 lb I have to believe there is more than a 20 lb difference, perhaps 50, but no more than that.
  8. I like it. !!!
  9. Your phone just reported you to G**gle's central tracking system as being an unfriendly.
  10. mailbox full maybe?
  11. Lewis, The Shane's in Dahlonega that did the catering is out of business. It was replaced by a Dunkin Donuts... However, I have been known to make a full meal on just donuts....
  12. Clive, You can get 25mm diam shims from Triumph in .025mm increments if that helps? I would go with the smaller shim otherwise, as the clearance tends to tighten up over time. With shims, I don't think one needs to check the clearance as often as one has to with the old style tappets.
  13. This is a great area for riding the gravel roads thru the national forest. I wouldn't recommend them for large touring bikes though.
  14. throw away the maps and GPS and see where that new and unknown road leads.... Of course I've wound up in a few places I wish I wasn't at, using that philosophy...
  15. I know Bob will take good care of it. meanwhile, I'll enjoy riding the RSTD with the windshield off when summer gets here. Maybe Bob and I will ride up to MD together again? US23 goes almost doorstop to doorstop for us and is a pleasant & scenic ride.
  16. hey Mark ! Yep. It is a fine bike. I just need to simplify my life.
  17. Bob (ATL)Dragonslayer hitched a ride with his son Clint this morning to my place to pick up my 2000 Millenium RSV . It was hard to let go, but I felt silly having 2 big motorcycles and not riding more than 5,000 miles a year. So decided to keep the 2008 RSTD which I bought new in 2009 and still has a year of warranty. So have fun with it Bob.
  18. Hey Mark, Good to see you back again.
  19. Lewis, let me know if you need any help with the prep work for Vogel? I know the new Park Manager at Vogel Cliff Tippens fairly well and might be able to find a caterer for Saturday. The BBQ place you used 2 years ago is gone, but there is an other BBQ place called Smoking Gold that is excellent.
  20. I'm in since the guest house comes with a free 6 pack
  21. I bought a couple sets of shims from tear-down engines to add to the K&L kit I originally had. The clearances tighten up over time (in general) which means that shims smaller than 2.70mm are the ones most needed on our bikes, even when one can swap around sizes, so I ask people using my kit to replace those. sometimes used ones are available on ebay. Luckily the 25mm diameter shims are used in lots of different motorcycle and even automobile engines.
  22. That must be how the goose shot down over Indiana was found to be wearing a helmet.
  23. light snow yesterday and today here in north Georgia. The weather was great (70F) for our M&E the previous weekend in Rome, GA.
  24. wasn't paying attention. send me your postal address and the kit will go out asap
