I've not had that problem with Wincester in the past. I do know that prices are up and availability down for ammo right now. With that in mind, its time for me to dust off the Dillon reloader and crank out enough ammo to last me a while.

Easier to change tires on a spoked rim because you don't have to worry so much about seating on the rim (inner tube is what gets inflated).

heh heh... a few. Ya got me. There's 882 of them... I think I'll look at them later this evening when I have a cold frosty one in my hand and a bag of popcorn...

re: Kitesquid. I should have researched the sealed beam type and replacements available before I bought my H3 lamps it would appear. I didn't realize all the options for replacement sealed beams available... Here's some for those looking... http://www.servicelighting.com/library/light_bulbs_halogen_par36.cfm

Both Northern Tool and Tractor Supply Co have small trailer tires at reasonable prices I have found. As well as Harbor Freight... Northern Tool seemed to have the best prices for what I needed. btw. nice bike and MC trailer. I saw it for sale also. I think the MM is the best looking Venture out there.

I have passing lamps on their way to me via the Big Brown Truck. I chose H3 over sealed beam because I know I can get H3 lamps at Wallyworld, plus there appear to be numerous plug compatible options as well should I so choose in the future.

So why couldn't the RV stop in 500 feet?

The passing lamps are available as either sealed beams or h3 halogen.

There may be a problem somewhere (else) that is manifesting itself as failed electrical components. I know you've looked at a lot of things already. Has anyone confirmed that the rapidly blinking signal lights you were getting is really a valid error code of some kind?

tires come in different weight ratings. You can look for one with a higher weight rating than the origonal equipment Bridgestone, I expect.

As mentioned, one needs a nose gunner to keep the deer away here in rural Georgia after dark.

If its been sitting for almost 20 years... There could be a lot wrong with it from deterioration/ rust or maybe it just needs a cleanup inside and fresh lube everywhere. The tires will be rotted. They appear to still have the blue die on the raised white letters. Hopefully no rust in the cylinders. Trying to start it before its cleaned up is likely the wrong thing to do, as the rings and pistons could be rusted and now have a damaged bore and valves.

I bought Lilbeaver's extra pair of Kuryakyn Longhorn footpegs. (Thanks Lilbeaver). I put them on for the trip to the International Rally and they were great. (I have a 29 inch inseam). I have them at a very slight angle back which works fine. Any further back and they interfere with the foot brake and shifter.

New to me '06 venture. Oil? Filter?
RandyR replied to Whitetales's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
The reason a lot of MC riders use diesel oil is that most automotive oils have additives that may not be combatible with a wet clutch. There is a lot of evidence that diesel oil provides similar protection at a better cost than the specialty motorcycle oils.
