  2. hey Bob... Dragonslayer, Its time to practice. I should be ready to site in at 40 yards in a couple days. Maybe Thursday or Friday. There's an archery range in a WMA just east of Ellijay. Could practice there then go to Pooles for some BBQ. The Rich Mountain WMA has an archery only section which might be worth checking out while we're there. http://www.n-georgia.com/pdf/rich-mountain-wma.pdf
  3. We call that trolling here. What do you call it up north?

  5. I have one of the kits in the US. There are several. I think there's one in Canada, but am not sure who has it. I'm going to be using the kit I have in a few days, but could send it or a partial kit to you when I'm done. You may get into customs/VAT issues though.
  6. Looks like a good ride and meet....
  7. Glad you're ok Charlie.
  8. It went for $6300, trailer included. It was tempting, but I like my RSTD.
  9. A number of owners have said that a smaller width (130) front tire helps the low speed handling a lot.
  10. Thats what happened the last time EPA standards were tightened.
  11. answer: When you have to cut a hole in the ice to go fishing...
  12. raining here today in north Georgia. AGAIN... Last year the tree huggers were wooping it up about global warming because of a drought we had. Wonder what they have to say about this year?
  13. Calif has its own emmissions testing also which one can find searching. Someone posted a link to the Calif testing documents a couple months ago. Nothing for a new Yamaha. http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/onroad/cert/cert.php go to the bottom of the page and type Yamaha into the search box.
  14. When is the pie eating contest?
  15. I'd like to read it next. Randy Rick 530 West Circle Dahlonega, GA 30533
  16. I remember reading something about this recently in this document: http://mc.bridgestone.co.jp/pdf/mcintroe.pdf It says that on radials the sidewalls are weaker than with bias ply, which then requires extra cost construction techniques for MC tires.
  17. I have one of the red Sears lifts bought a number of years ago. It works fine with the Carbon1 adapter.
  18. Great to have you back. So how are Eileen and the mascot getting on?
  19. Looks like a real cream puff..... I hope it runs as good as it looks.
  20. There is an ebay seller with yellow LED H3 replacements. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150357002511 He says they draw 4-6 watts The seller has several styles of LED replacement bulbs. Looks like his are designed to use your stock reflector. I started looking at yellow bulbs to use in the new light bar I'm preparing to install. Lots of fog here in the Georgia mountains. If you are going to have something better, I'm certainly interested. I've also thought about mounting fog lights low on the bike with a separate on-off switch.
  21. sweet. there's even a video of it. 13,000 miles ....
  22. I don't think there's much point in syncing the carbs until they've had enough seafoam run thru them to dissolve any gum built up on the jets and seats. Otherwise you'll just be doing it again soon. Likewise, gum could be hanging up the slides a bit.
  23. Yep, sounds like a solenoid. Probably a sensor of some kind. (I'm not a hydraulic guy). I'd try to find the name & type of lift and call the company that made it, or do a web search.
  24. Heal fast... I understand that lots of icecream helps mend shoulders....
  25. I'd follow the vehicle manufacturer's instructions. I know a number of people say break it in fast, but they won't fix it for you under warranty if there are problems will they? My breakin was easy to do... I bought it from a dealer 550 miles away and just rode it home on the 2 lane highways at a steady 55-60mph more or less... I took a few bursts to 65mph. oh yes. Change the rear gear oil at least every 1,000 miles for the first 4,000 miles. You'll find lots of metal debris on the magnet on the drain plug.
