Squidley. Did you order them from Pinwall also? tia -
There are very few hunters I've met who have the knowledge or patience that you exhibit.

Anyone else try flagging? Just a little flash of white. Seems to bring them in for a closer look once in a while.

Gary, Good news from the Doc this time. Consider one of the Tour Deluxes if you get a new machine. It'll be familiar to you, but not quite as top heavy and it rides well.

A terrible tragedy. ride safe everyone...

This will be interesting... I think you'll get about 10 different answers.....

If it makes your conscience feel better.. -
You'll notice that many of those complaining about UPS are in Canada. For international shipping from the USA, USPS Priority International is usually the least expensive, and least run-around for the recipient. And I ship large packages, like guitar boxes (length plus girth must be maximum 108 inches however) and there is a maximum on the insurance which varies by country. In the USA, Usually UPS is cheaper. However, I always use a UPS company counter, not one of the UPS Stores (franchises) , which have add-on charges, and in particular, the insurance thru UPS Stores is much higher.

ride on Ron.... See you at the big campfire

I stopped by for a few minutes. There were about 30 vintage machines. Mostly 60's and 70's machines. old Triumphs and Hondas were 50% of what was there. Some old dirt bikes, and various other stuff. It was worth stopping in. A few of them were for sale, including a pair of mint Honda 650 Silver Wings with the full touring package that I wouldn't mind owning when I win the lottery. I picked up a pair of knobbies on sale for my Suzuki DR200 which were piled up behind the vintage dirt bikes. There were 2 new 2009 black/silver ventures for sale outside with the Moto400 inventory.

Do you turn the fuel off...
RandyR replied to yamadawg's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I turn mine off when parked. I use on when riding and generally don't switch to reserve until the engine starts to sputter (usually 7-10 miles after the F odo comes on). Then I ride 20 miles or so on reserve and look for a gas station. That way I know everything is working. -
I had a 1997 k1100lt. It was a smooth riding comfortable bike. But.. The maintenance costs were high, I was using a dealer, and I had problems with the service even after the big bucks. After problems with an insurance repair, I walked away from it. They're called the flying brick. Lots of riders love them. If you do your own wrenching like many do on the Yamaha V4, you'll probably be happy. The fairing and adjustable windshield are excellant+ . The seat height is a bit higher than the RSV if thats a concern.

Does your fuel light come on when your turn your key on?
RandyR replied to LilBeaver's topic in Watering Hole
Bill, You say "I have had to switch to reserve with no light or f trip meter" then I'd look at the fuel sensor which probably triggers both. -
You're supposed to put the SeaFoam in your gas tank, not drink it..

There's a good Mexican restaurant with a patio if the weather's ok, about 100 yards south of Moto 400. I could meet there at noon for lunch.

RandyR replied to LilBeaver's topic in Watering Hole
Well, I don't recall there being a low fuel LIGHT. Just the flashing F odo. Maybe thats one of the few differences between a RSV and RSTD.. In which case I just need to back out of this...
