Been retired 2 years. I have plenty to do, and do it when I want to or not. I don't miss work at all. The pay isn't great, but I have enough toys that I don't need to spend much to live. And I love to eat fresh fish and venison, so my meal choices are simple.

Woo Wee !!!! Daddy stops car just outside door so he can watch girl go to counter to get coffee.. Wierd things happen inside McDonalds Little girl comes out crying. Daddy the Dork won't give me the cup of coffee because he says I might burn myself. I know what hot water is, I help Moomy cook all the time and she's taught me. Daddy. Waves to Mc Donald's Dork, its ok. Ok go back in to little girl. Little girl goes back in to get coffee because Daddy says its ok and is watching. Mob of angry bikers with tattoos, black leather jackets comes out with NO COffee, pushing the little girl, and threatens Nice Daddy who was trying to give girl lesson in self sufficiency at McDonalds. Instead, little girl gets a lesson in mob behavior.

Sorry. I don't get it. So what were you upset about? A girl buying someone a cup of coffee for some reason that you don't have the faintest idea about and are fantasizing into all kinds of ill intent and non-existant happenings?

the fuel filter on the early Tours are the same as the newer ones. So the PDF maintenance guide posted here on the forum for the Ventures will apply. You have to remove the tankand both side covers and inner cover, and then the fuel pump and then the filter is underneath. Many people relocate it with an aftermarket type filter. But since there is only 1 filter for all 4 carbs, a dirty fuel filter would affect all 4 cylinders.

The ebay auction closed for $5100. Reserve was $5000 Lets see whether or not anyone posts here about winning the auction. The last couple of bids in the auction were by bidders with 0 previous ebay activity. When I see that, it makes me suspect that shill bidders were used to drive up the price. But I've been wrong before.... It could just mean that the 1st gen in xtra nice condition brought in some people who don't usually frequent ebay.

I seem to like epics. So another vote for James Mitchener. Non fiction history. Winston Churchill I used to read a lot of science fiction. Heinlein, Asimov, and others Recently read Gen MacArthur's auto-biography and had to rethink my previous negative opinion of him. Used to read WWII aviation biographies/stories, like 30 Seconds over Tokyo, Flying Tigers, Battle of Britain, etc

After looking at the gas mileage some FI machines are getting, I'm not sure its the panacea I thought it was. Its certainly more complicated and expensive to maintain.

Good advice on the diet and weight control. I've been slowly trying to change my diet, at least I'm thinking about it now and eating more fruit and less sweets. Part of that is changing my buying habits at the supermarket. Part #2 of the plan is to have a fixed exercise program everyday. I have an elliptical exercise machine arriving Monday via Fedex that I plan on using every morning before breakfast. Just like morning PT in the military. Unlike the military, I'll try to avoid packing in the food.
