  1. Thanks. I see them on Parts Shark. The trunk on my newly acquired 2000 MM is cracked around the bolts. Its not falling apart (yet). I was thinking (per suggestion from Steve Wagner) to slop some epoxy over the cracks, and then bolt the plates down into the epoxy. I see however that the plates can be ordered with rubber gaskets. So I have 2 choices. 1. epoxy, dry & cure & sand, rubber gasket, plate 2. epoxy and while still wet lay in the plates and bolt them in. Any thoughts on this?
  2. My 2000 MM needs the trunk metal plates. Is there anyone selling these plates for the trunk? I looked on ebay and didn't see any kits. Also looked in the forum classified. Or do I need to order them from Yamaha?

  12. I just brought a trailer home with my new (used) RSV and probably rode 70mph average (not counting stops) for 900 miles.
  13. Thanks Godlover... For the tip on the purchase, and the hospitality. Rain all the way home, but I did miss the really bad storms...
  14. I made it home. 900 miles, 800 of which was raining So I now have MM #404 steyrhahn@yahoo.com Don, want to add me to the registry? thanks. Thanks again to Mark / Godlover for alerting me to the bike. She ran like a top. I'm very happy with the purchase, and will be happier still if the weather for the M&E in Florida next week is good.. Randy
  15. leaving for Iowa this afternoon to get the MM on Saturday morning. I'll try to sync up with Godlover while in the area... Unfortunately, the weather forecast is for rain everywhere along my route back to Georgia. It looks like I might be able to ride in scattered showers instead of rain if I head east first, instead of my normal route south to Missouri. I was thinking about taking I-74 accross Il and then US 41 south in IN to pickup I-24 in Ky, then home.
  16. We need to put and end to this...
  17. Taking the rear wheel with tire off isn't a biggy if you have a jack and adapter, which you'll want eventually. I'd ride it unless you are unhappy with the tire you have.
  18. The one I saw had a big bubble running under it. cheap cheap cheap... I'll be surprised if its clear coated over it.
  19. Gary, I know that must have been a lot of fun after the months of work you put into this project. Hopefully we'll see the end result at Don's Maintenance Day.
  20. Bummer, Do you have a link to the 15 lb pump Please? thx
  21. Had the wind blow over a Honda GL500 about 15 years ago. Not a good thing to have happen...
  22. I'm arriving on a bus at 10:10pm Friday night. I'll need a place to stay. then pick up the bike on Saturday morning. Will want to tighten up all the bolts. change the rear gear oil, check air pressure, take a quick short trip wo trailer, then add the trailer & check all the lights. Put a can of Seafoam in the tank. Take another short trip. Then go for a good ride. My first stop will likely be Norwood where there's some family history.
  23. I received the title for the Millenium and a registration for the trailer. I'll pick up plates for them both on Monday. Will pick it up next Saturday the 24th of April.
  24. Its always good to have a spare set of wheels...
  25. I read Douglas MacArthurs autobiography not long ago. Its a good history of the US Army's war in the pacific. And MacArthur has nothing but praise for the Aussies who supported him and fought alongside his US troops.
