  6. I think this has been pointed out before. But the only sure fire deer repellent is to hang a hunting license and orange cap on the front of the bike...
  7. member KJ4V Kenneth Veit kj4v30701@gmail.com> will make 2 keys from the keycode for $15 ppd. He made sets for 2 of my bikes and is making a 3rd set for me now.
  8. Thanks. I see them on Parts Shark. The trunk on my newly acquired 2000 MM is cracked around the bolts. Its not falling apart (yet). I was thinking (per suggestion from Steve Wagner) to slop some epoxy over the cracks, and then bolt the plates down into the epoxy. I see however that the plates can be ordered with rubber gaskets. So I have 2 choices. 1. epoxy, dry & cure & sand, rubber gasket, plate 2. epoxy and while still wet lay in the plates and bolt them in. Any thoughts on this?
  9. My 2000 MM needs the trunk metal plates. Is there anyone selling these plates for the trunk? I looked on ebay and didn't see any kits. Also looked in the forum classified. Or do I need to order them from Yamaha?

  21. I made it home. 900 miles, 800 of which was raining So I now have MM #404 steyrhahn@yahoo.com Don, want to add me to the registry? thanks. Thanks again to Mark / Godlover for alerting me to the bike. She ran like a top. I'm very happy with the purchase, and will be happier still if the weather for the M&E in Florida next week is good.. Randy
  22. leaving for Iowa this afternoon to get the MM on Saturday morning. I'll try to sync up with Godlover while in the area... Unfortunately, the weather forecast is for rain everywhere along my route back to Georgia. It looks like I might be able to ride in scattered showers instead of rain if I head east first, instead of my normal route south to Missouri. I was thinking about taking I-74 accross Il and then US 41 south in IN to pickup I-24 in Ky, then home.
  23. We need to put and end to this...
  24. Taking the rear wheel with tire off isn't a biggy if you have a jack and adapter, which you'll want eventually. I'd ride it unless you are unhappy with the tire you have.
