I've got one I need to glue up too. What about using a piece of fiber glass cloth inside to strengthen it up a bit? -
I went to 3 launches during the 1970's... All were delayed, and never got to see one... Maybe I should try to catch one of the last shuttle launches. Date: Sept. 16 + Mission: STS-133 Launch Vehicle: Space Shuttle Discovery Launch Site: Kennedy Space Center - Launch Pad 39A Launch Time: 11:57 a.m. EDT STS-133 Description: Space shuttle Discovery will deliver the Express Logistics Carrier 4 (ELC4), a Multi-Purpose Logistics Module (MLPM) and critical spare components to the International Space Station. Date: Mid-Nov. * Mission: STS-134 Launch Vehicle: Space Shuttle Endeavour Launch Site: Kennedy Space Center - Launch Pad 39A Launch Time: To Be Determined STS-134 Description: Space shuttle Endeavour will deliver an EXPRESS Logistics Carrier-3 (ELC-3) and an Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer (AMS) to the International Space Station.

My one experience with ABS on a motorcycle, a BMW K1100 was bad. The ABS brakes were a constant source of mechanical problems. Hopefully that is not 'normal', but thats my experience.

Thanks for the update Jean. I think about Earl daily and wish him a speedy recovery. Others will have to comment on back injuries and operations...

I saw a Triumph Rocket III with fairing at a local demo day recently. It looks like the fairing is made by Corbin.

Here's the reply from Avon tech support: The V rated tire is designed for the Yamaha V Max. It has a stickier compound so it gets a bit less mileage and has less of a load rating as that is not as crucial on this bike as it would be on a tour deluxe. V speed is 149 mph vs H rated which is 130 mph. The handling of the tires is the same for agility and easy turn in. At lower speeds load could be quite similar but I don’t have test results for that so I can’t quote you anything. For your bike I would stick with the H rated tire, especially since the front is H rated so you have a match.

She was told to take off everything except her jumper and was patted down. Then she was fingerprinted and photographed. Quote from her statement. Thats not a strip search. btw, if someone is taken into custody, even briefly, for any reason, they are always searched to make sure they aren't carrying a weapon. While I don't like it, it makes sense from a LEO point of view. If she had been in a private vehicle, the vehicle would likely have just been turned around. The fact that she was on a bus that would continue on without her, means she had to disembark within the US customs station.

Just checked a few web sites. SW Moto has the best prices for the Avon Am41. $126.95 shipped for the MT90HB16 #2805012 less $25 rebate thats $102 plus mounting. I'll see if my local shop will come close. They charge $25 for mounting if I bring in the wheel. AVON AM42 150/90HB15 VENOM REAR $142.95 re: H vs V rear. I'll have to see what kind of mileage I get. I didn't realize I was getting the V rated tire until I already had it via a private seller off ebay. If it has better traction, then I'm ok with a lesser tire life. I'll ask Avon what they think.

http://www.avonmoto.com/products/cruiser-touring-custom/venom 71=761lbs , 74=827lbs, 80=992lbs 2848912 150/90B15 80H 2848913 150/90B15 74V H is rated for 130mph V is rated for >149mph I 'think' the V tire has a lower weight rating because its rated at a higher speed. I have a '74V' rated rear tire on my RSTD with 2,000 miles on it. No problems so far. For the front I see: 2807412 150/80-16 71H 2805012 MT90B16 74H (narrower tire) Any of these tires are rated in excess of what even a heavily loaded bike should put on them. btw. here's a $25 per tire rebate for Avon's bought this month.

So what did you use to refill it George? Just asking since I presume my 10 yr old new ride needs changing. I remember reading the detailed post by Goose about removing all the plugs to get every last drop of old fluid. Being lazy, I was thinking, drain it, then fill with distilled water, run it a bit, then drain again. That should get all the old fluid out of the hidden recesses. I run a dehumidifier in my basement that gives me a gallon of distilled water every day during the summer.
