Mark, Glad you're out riding.... How's the racing season this year? I'm loving the Millenium you helped me find, I've already worn out the rear tire...

Halogen Brake Light Bulb Replacement for RSV?
RandyR replied to First_N_Last's topic in Watering Hole
thats what we need. more chrome... btw here's a comparison chart. http://www.webbikeworld.com/Motorcycle-technical-articles/triumph/brake-lights/light-bulbs.htm from another source: Though they are spendy, the best bulb you can use in place of 1157 is a 3496. You can get them from your local Honda dealer. Part number is 34906-SL0-A01. It draws the same amount of current as 1157, but is much more efficient. It produces 43 candlepower on the bright (brake or turn) filament, and 3.5 candlepower on the dim (tail or parking) filament. It also has a nickel-plated base that is much more corrosion resistant than the plain brass base of an 1157, so it’s less likely to stick in the socket. Sylvania 3496 Long Life are $5.99 a pair from Amazon. -
Which answers a question I had in my mind about whether or not anyone ever used a tube on our bikes...

I have a 4x8 much like the one you described. I used it to haul 2 bikes and numerous boxes of stuff (more than 800lbs) from Maryland to Georgia, and have used it for a BMW and/or Triumph numerous times since. I haven't hauled an RSV/RSTD in it yet though.

I had to look it up... http://www.beartoothhighway.com/ The Beartooth Highway (US212) is open for the 2010 season. The Beartooth Pass area of the Highway may close periodically when it snows and blows too much.

... its quite nimble with the windshield removed and new Avon Venoms on it. I was very happy with the way my 08 RSTD handled Saturday on the ride to NE TN. I replaced the rear Bridgestone just after Vogel last fall with a Venom. The handling was a bit better but not as good as I would have liked. Just replaced the front BS with a 130 width H rated Avon Venom and the bike handles noticeably better. Its certainly not as nimble as my Triumph, which is 300lbs lighter, but its pretty good. fyi. I mistakenly ordered a V-rated rear Venom. Avon customer support says that the V-rated is intended for the V-Max, and has a softer rubber compound than the recommended H-rated rear. So, I probably won't get as much mileage from it, but it feels good on the road.

You might want to get on these people's mailing list. They had the best prices I could find last year when I bought a crossbow. http://northwoodsoutlet.com/

Our trip continues through Rocky Mountain Natinoal Park

Dennis, quite a ride... for those thinking about this ride. An alternate route is US 6 over the peaks instead of I-70 thru the tunnel, another spectacular view. -

I've been on T-Mobile for a number of years, but am going to switch to another carrier. Too many dead spots with T-Mobile.

How many horsepower on the second generation?
RandyR replied to casabroker's topic in General Tech Talk
Earl (skydoc) recently upgraded Jonas's Tour Classic with a substantial HP increase. I think there's already a thread somewhere about what he did and the results. -
