In the county I live in their are special social services counsellors known as childrens advocates that are empowered to look into family situations and make recommendations if there is compelling evidence. In general, I'm very leary of ever encroaching police/governmental intrusion, but this may be a time when its needed.

Much the same here in north Georgia. At least 4, maybe 6 inches of snow. One of the better snows I've seen in the 20 years I've been in Georgia. I may get energetic and put on my knickers and go cross country skiing. then again..... Here's a picture out the front door. Maybe 8 inches of snow.

08 RSV clutch question
RandyR replied to BigBear's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I had the same thing happen to me last summer. Bought a K&L speed bleeder, worked fine on the brakes, then I moved it to the clutch and after a few pumps, it didn't close properly and started letting in air. The bike was 10 years old and it looked like the clutch fluid hadn't been changed in a long time. Lots of crud in it. I expect that a piece of crud got caught in the speed bleeders valve. So I went to the manual method too. I had to run a lot of new fluid thru the clutch to get it to stay clear, after wiping out the bottom of the reservoir carefully. -
Yes there is a code under the key cover on the gas cap. It is NOT the key code for either my RSV or my RSTD.

these V4's are sweet engines. Looking forward to seeing the bike at Maintenance Day in Oberlin Ohio in late spring.

I ordered a metric caliper and an led light string from a China ebay seller in Nov and haven't received them yet. I sent an email thru the ebay resolution center and the seller offered to refund my paypal or if I could wait another week. Its only about $20, so I said I'd wait, but it smells a lot like a scam.

you may be just a little carb sync away from success...? assuming it isn't a weak spark for one of the previously mentioned reasons.

I just bought the one in the ebay link, I should have it soon. You or anyone else local can borrow my copy. -
There's a lot of counterfeit $100 bills circulating. I wonder if the economy would collapse if all the counterfeits would suddenly evaporate?

I think you should demand a Mercedes to drive on the job, not some cheapo Volkswagen, its just an overgrown Beetle.

I'd like to know where exactly, because I looked and couldn't find the key code that way.

Electrical Genius Needed ????? RE: Timing Modification
RandyR replied to TearlessTom's topic in Watering Hole
Some of the 1st gen riders are using a 3rd party programable ignition module from a company called ignitech. You might want to read the 2 or 3 lengthy threads about what they have done. Ignitech may be able to put a kit together for the 2nd gen machines, but I am not aware of anyone having one at this time. Be bold and ride the cutting edge. -
Good idea. I bought a red one and a white one. $6 each. One for each dog. clips right on the collar. Can either have steady light or blinking light. About the size of a pingpong ball. Filly the puppy is now 8 months old and weighs 61 pounds, and has a mouth full of shiny white teeth. All things considered, she's not been too much trouble. Had a few things chewed, but nothing too expensive, finally housebroken, but it took a while. Here she is today with her mentor my 7 year old Strength. http://randyrick.us/dogs/Buddies2.JPG

I'd file a complaint with the state medical examiner's office and AMA (Amer medical Assoc). Thats the only way you'll get medical care like that turned the right way.

What are you doing right now to bring in the new year?
RandyR replied to CaptainJoe's topic in Watering Hole
drinking hot chocolate and eating donuts. Looks like its going to rain all day today. Luckily I got a good ride in yesterday. But the weather is supposed to be mild next week and I'll get in some riding, I expect. Got a list of projects for the bikes but need to get my carport cleaned off first so I have room to work.
