If I had to do it over again, I might make worse mistakes than I made the first time thru... So, we'll just leave it alone. No time machines for me.

How are your brake pads holding up?
RandyR replied to Seaking's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
they are sold separately (usually). -
I've got a valve shim kit with tool. There's one person ahead of you, so it may be a few weeks before the kit is available. smoke and low compression are not good signs. I'd have a dealer check his list of bikes subject to the head bolt recall. apparently some RSTDs are affected as well as RSV's.

Call out to all north georgia and regional members
RandyR replied to Dragonslayer's topic in Watering Hole
Bob, Thanks for stirring things up. I have to use the good weather this weekend to get some outdoor work done around the house. I'll get some short rides in, so if anyone is headed up towards Dahlonega, could ride to meet for lunch or something. But i probably won't get out for more than a couple hours. My suggestion would be to see if one of the georgia riders could volunteer each month to lead a ride. I think 6er usually leads one, RSJack leads one. I'll lead one, and so on. We've pretty much gone out on the 2nd saturday of the month, and I have a recurring calendar item for such. I think that Vogel is on again this year, so that covers August. SteveW has offered to have a MD again at his garage. We could start a signup sheet right here for the year. -
if you go to the yamaha web site you can get online copies of the users guide and service guide.

I'll put in a plug for the Triumph Bonneville America as the cruiser version of the new 900cc Bonneville Twin. Although I personally like the Bonneville SE package as it feels a bit more sporty and traditional. If I were going to buy a new smaller bike today, thats what I would buy.

Steve was looking pretty limber for someone who just went thru a knee replacement. I dropped in just as his wife Gloria was putting out lunch, so didn't stay long or get a chance to see his new ride. Any of those weekends in March is ok with me. Thanks Steve for putting on this event again.

should have taken up ice fishing to pass the time. if you don't like fish, go anyway with a couple buddies who have a heated ice shanty and play poker and drink some cheap whiskey.

I'm thinking we should give the manager at Pizza Hut a warning in advance that we will be back in town. Things really got messed up there last summer....

One caution that Canada dealers provide warranty support on bikes sold new in Canada and USa dealers on bikes sold new in the USA.
