Squidley replied to Steve-O's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
Steve, If you have a Black Midnight it's an XVZ13CTMV if your bike isn't Black it's an XVZ13CTV I looked at Yamaha's website and those are the only 2 designations they have....hope this helps. -

If it wasn't almost 800 miles to Newnan we would see you more often too Hell we were 30 miles closer to you when we lived in Michigan

Your Momma raised you right Bob, I can not relate to loosing a parent, I fortunately still have both of mine, but being 1500 miles from them....I sure do miss seeing them. I have been where you have with 2 of my Grandparents being there with them until they passed. As much as it hurt to have them go, I am blessed that I was able to spend every last minute they had on earth with them. I have a strong feeling you make your Mom smile this time every year

Lost my Son
Squidley replied to naturbar's topic in Inspirational, Motivational, Prayer Requests, Etc.
Buz, Thank you for sharing this very private and painful part of your life with us. Never anything that can be said to help heal your heart. He left this world loving what he was doing at the time, how many folks can experience that. I truly hope you can find some peace and may your family's pain be short lived. Live in your sons memories, he still watches over you, he will never not be with you....all the best to you and your family.- 113 replies

Mastertech in San Antonio?
Squidley replied to MikeZ06Allen's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Mike, I dont think a carb sync is going to fix all that, it will help smooth the bike out and let the idle come down quicker. If you have an airbox full of holes that could be a major culprit right off. Has the bikes carbs been re jetted? if not, the holes will screw up the air flow and can give you fits. Take some duct tape and cover the additional holes in the airbox. We can check the float levels with them on the bike at Doodles MD and see where they are. 2 turns out on the air/fuel mix screws is a good start point, try covering those holes 1st though.- 12 replies

I have used them several times and have good luck with them every time. They worked with me and their prices were very good. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again

Just wanted to give a heads up to any that may have been thinking this was another work weekend....it's not Lots going on but we have to be here at the old house to let the A/C guy in to replace the furnace unit, so we wont necessarily be at the new house. Lots of drama going on there, were staying in an RV on the property because of vandals. More to come later, life is still 100 miles per hour. Thank you all again and more of the continuing saga soon

Dave, Probably the best way for you to come after dropping your brother off will be up US59 to New Caney FM 1485. Left turn and head north, up past 242 where we live now all the way to FM 2090 (Caney Creek High School will be on your left) Turn right on 2090 heading east, go about 7 or 8 miles to Daw Collins Road, turn left and head north. Follow Daw Collins all the way until it dead ends and you'll be at Old Hwy 105 East, turn left and head west about 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile and the house will be on the right side with a sign out in front of the road. If you have any difficulties call me and I'll get you there

I think we are going to name this place "The house that Love built" for that's what it's turning out to be Those of you that know me well, know I'm anal on being a perfectionist when I attempt anything. This house has had me doing many 1st's like laying tile and trying to level floors. Let me tell you I am very hard on myself when I don't get the results I like, and I have tore many things apart and re did them just because it wasn't the way I wanted it or thought it should have been. I was driving to the house today and started thinking, I'll never make a silk purse out of this sow's ear we are working on, it's an old house and some of it's previous repairs were not done all that well. Then it hit me, since last weekend, when it was sprung on me about the members coming and helping out, that all the things that are being done by our family, are unique. Many of these folks are not professional contractors, they are DIYer's like Lonna and I. They are willing to try new things, and give it their best shot at making it as perfect as they can. There's only so much we can do with this place besides gutting it and starting from scratch...that's not going to happen Instead I am taking great pleasure, and a lot of pride knowing that any small imperfection, was made with love, from some of our best friends. This makes me very happy and if I see a little thing, I'll know which one of our friends worked diligently to help us with that portion of getting our house ready for us to move into. So again, today, we did battle with the house, and won some more small victories. Perry and Molly Kuhns (pktexas) , Ray (oldschool), Gunboat, and both Gunboats daughters and the eldests boyfriend, Lonna, Heather and myself were in attendance. It was a great time and we really kicked out some work. Gunboat and Perry tackled the rest of the tile in the utility room, and did a great job as they had all the cutting in to do. Molly and Heather knocked out LOTS of drywall mudding, Molly had never done it before, but was willing to give it her best shot She did a great job as well as Heather. Oldschool, myself and Dean, Erica's (Gunboats eldest daughter) boyfriend tackled the kitchen cabinets and cupboards. Got all the cabinets leveled and screwed in place and 90% of the cupboards up. Stoves in place and tomorrow we will take the fridge over and set it up too Thank you to everyone from both weekends, your work is greatly appreciated and will not be forgotten....here are a couple more pics of today's festivities. #1 Molly #2 Perry (pktexas) #3 Gunboat #4 Dean and Ray (oldschool) #5 Dean, Ray and myself screwing cabinets together #6 Lonna #7 Perry

Bob, I can speak for David before the accident, he had no problems with helping folks out with the gauge sets. Go ahead and make yourself a set, I feel VERY strongly that David will probably never be back to where he was. That being said I know that the Ponch I knew would have no problems with anyone making a gauge set, the info is in the tech library please use it....

Happy Birthday Buddy!!!

Bob, I dont know of any of the gauge sets available, but I wanted to get this back up top in case someone does. Ponch is home now, but I'm afraid that he will not be making any more of the gauges for a long long time if at all

Well were back home....what a day! I am as beat as I can remember, but it was a blast today with all the brethren. Tomorrow more folks will be out and we'll plug away at it again. Lots was done today....LOTS, Kenny (Kbran) did an awesome job on tiling the bathroom floor, it looks superb and way better than what I could have done. Beth (his better half) helped him along the majority of the day and did errand running with Lonna. Kelly and Beki Wilson (WilsonTAMU) were there all the way from Katy. Beki was a great help with staging things and Kelly layed the rest of the Hardybacker board down, great job by both of them and it was great to be able to see them for more than 1 1/2 hours like we usually do at M&E's. Hal (Halmost There) also came from Katy and did a bang up job on the drywall floating and sanding. Kreg (Doodle) also came all the way from Waller and did a great job on the drywall. Fortunately he brought his better half with him as it's always good to see Janet. She was the official photographer today and I'll get some pics up later of the carnage. Monkey Boy, Gunboat and their respective others were also there and Monkey Boy did all the cookin, good chow for sure and we couldn't have done it without them. Gunboat turned out to be quite a good commanding officer as he had a plan layed out and things rolled very smooth. It was a great day, but I feel like I have been run over by a Mack truck...so I'm going to bed. Thank you all that showed today and here's looking for the continuation tomorrow

Father Passed.
Squidley replied to Phoneman1981's topic in Inspirational, Motivational, Prayer Requests, Etc.
Sorry doesn't begin to say it, he knows peace, he's with the maker, his life is complete. May your family find the strength to deal with his passing and going home.....I hope this helps you and your family. Irish Tombstone Prayer Death is nothing at all, I have only slipped away into the next room. Whatever we were to eachother, that we are still Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way which you always used to. Laugh as we always laughed together. Play, Smile, Think of me, Pray for me. Let my name be the household word that it always was, let it be spoken without effort. Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was, there is absolutely unbroken continuity. Why should I be out of your mind because I am out of your sight? I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner. All is well, nothing is past, nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before...Only better, infinitely happier and forever we will all be one together with Christ
