  6. Nice work Earl....I dropped the ball with JP and didn't send him some links, do appreciate your helping him out JP, did you get the seals from Earl also?
  7. The link above for the clamps is Rick H at Buckeye performance, albcycleproducts is one of his ebay names. The 1st link is not the member who I know of that makes the brackets. That member (Hilliss) resides in Kentucky, the 1st link is out of Maine Here is Hilliss's profile http://www.venturerider.org/forum/member.php?u=3821
  8. Yammer, If your seriously wanting them, go ahead and take them. I was just thinking a bit ahead as I will convert the exhaust on this '83 once I get it into my garage....no worries my friend.
  9. You wont have issues if you cover the side panels, they actually made chrome covers just for more bling. Lots of different ways you can cover them, but you wont hurt the engine.
  10. Nice job on it, I have one here that needs revamping, and I want to learn how to use it a lot better too. I was thinking of the same thing as far as putting it on a trailer and having it mobile, have fun with your new creation
  11. I can honestly say that it wasn't me.....I was sweating my can off in Texas!
  12. Thats a LOT pricey, neat idea, but not a snowballs chance in hell that I would pay that money for it
  13. Lewis, Did you have the pipes bent that allowed the RK's to go into the collector? Do you still have them? I have Oldschools '83 and would like to put a set of RK's on them and those extension pipes would help greatly...shoot me a PM.
  14. Back about 5 or 6 years ago when we lived in Michigan, I was approached by one of our then members Kurt Mayer "VenturaCowboy" who was PGR's National Director of Public Relations. We met here on the site and became friends and talked often. He asked of me a favor, and a quite large one at that. Michigan didn't have a state captain yet, and it had it's first KIA. He asked me to represent the PGR in this funeral, with the guidance of Ohio's state captain Bob "Taters" Smith. Those who know me, know I dont have a problem talking with folks. I will say that going up to a grieving widow and her family and presenting them with a plaque for her fallen husband, was one of the hardest things I have ever done in my life. When I did the 2nd mission, it wasn't any easier, as the WBC was there as well. It is a very worthwhile group and I only wish I had more time to devote to supporting them directly by standing the line. Good on all of you that have stood for our fallen warriors....
  15. Hang in there Annie, not to be ignorant of the issue, but are you folks in the middle of a Typhoon or just some horrendous rain storms?
  16. Bill, FYI, your not going to have to rejet the carbs, you would have to get a lot more air going through the carbs before any rejetting is necessary. If all your going to do is an aftermarket exhaust, you'll be just fine as it sits, dont let them con you into a jet kit and the labor to install it...
  17. Thank you for the info and the phone number Tom, is that # directly to his room?

    wolo

Kevin, Wolo is a brand name for an airhorn that some of the members install on their bikes. He purchased a wiring harness that Carbon One makes to install the horn using a direct line to the battery and use the existing horn wires to power a relay http://www.wolo-mfg.com/air.htm http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=3727&title=stebel-horn-wiring-harness&cat=24
  19. Jeff, I have not heard of any of the members using the JBM diaphragms, I have used the Sirius ones in the past with no issues. If the price is the same give them a shot and let us know what you think, can't have too many options with 20+ yo bike.
  20. Definitely a nice find, that should last you a good long time
  21. Thanks for keeping us up to date Tom, Bobo....take care of yourself and here's wishing you well getting over this, be careful my friend.
  22. .....Really!
  23. Nope...did it on a dare
  24. Larry is too modest to talk up his products.....but I'm not. Larry builds a lot of items for the G2 RSV, his quality of work is impeccable, he is an excellent fabricator and all of his products are top notch and built to last. There are other options out there, but for me personally, I will always put my money in his hands or any of the other members that sell items here on the site
  25. Do your guts still hurt from laughing so hard at their stories! I love those 2, they are 2 of the best folks we know, enjoy the weekend with them BTW ask Dan the 1st time he found out about his 1st gen having air shocks
