The doors always open, you know that, if you want to stay for 3 months, you can do that too. I think y'all need a break, Lilly can come along too. If she's still in the chew phase, I have some trees down in the yard to keep her busy indefinitely

They are all 3 very fine machines, if I'm not mistaken the VTX doesn't have an air suspension on it. The RSV is a good deal heavier than the other 2 with all the fairings and such on it. The Vtwin on the VTX is smooth, but not smoother than the V4 in the Yamahas. Depending on what you want to do with the machine, will dictate which one you want. The VTX would be great for around town and small trips. The V twin is very torquey and has good power. It's also more low slung in the gravity so a bit easier to toss around. For longer trips or 2 up, the RSV hands down for comfort, the RSTD is also a good one for long trips. I know several folks here on this site that have taken theirs all over the country without a hickup.... -
Actually, this is a diabolical trick against Tommy. You see, if I fire him up enough, maybe even mad enough to come and want to sock me in the nose, he and Vicky will make it to Texas. Then you see it will be nice and warm and still have green on the trees, he'll forget all about the sock in the nose and we'll have a nice visit....problem solved

Carl, Your more than welcome my friend, I tried really hard for it to be in the liquid form when it got to you, but unfortunately someone in Canada, I dont know who, decided they wanted to add frigid air with it. It's not imperative, but it will pull better with a little longer tongue. Add 12" to it and that will be sufficient. It will be a bolt together, so whatever size the original tongue tube is, just go and buy the same size, just 12" longer and drill it accordingly and bolt it together.

Ron, Another option for you might be to just buy another type of H4 bulb that will fit right into the headlight housing. I installed a Sylvania Xtravision in the '83 I am riding right now. It was relatively inexpensive, I paid $11 for it but I am pretty impressed at the brightness it gives off that 1st gen (the MKI headlight is marginal at best) You might want to try that before you shell out $100 for the HID unless your dead set on it...

Charles Durning passed away the same day as Jack, he was 1 year younger at 89. They sure did live good long lives though....they will be missed.

It would make sense unless it was a braided stainless line. We all know what happens to the stock 1st gen lines over time. -
