Bike cranks over, just no spark. Could be fuse, but he mentioned he checked them. I had him check the kill switch and it is cycling the fuel pump, so that sounds ok. I'm having him check the 6 wire plug for the pick up coils to see how it is right now.

The Blank Check.... Some of you know exactly what I mean when I say that. It wasn't me that coined the phrase, but I was one that signed that check in 1985. 6 1/2 years after that the check wasn't cashed, 22 years ago I received the check back. Today I look back in reflection of the hundreds of thousands that signed that check and never received it back. Today, Memorial day 2013, I look back and I am very grateful and humbled that so many didn't get their checks back. Today is, for me personally, a hallowed day. I would do like Easy Rider mentioned and lower the front and inch. This will help with the slow speed handling as long as you keep the rear height the same. The Butler mod is a good idea as well like Gary mentioned. It narrows a but between the legs letting your legs hang straiter down and thus closer to the ground

The idle adjustment knob is on the left side (sitting on the bike) under the lower carb bracket inbetween #1 and #2 carbs. If your pipe started glowing then just as Dan mentioned, pull it off and check to make sure it isn't blocked up.

If it's slipping into a lower gear, you have definite internal problems. Let the dealer figure it out and when they make the diagnosis, let them know you want to see the issue with your own eyes. Sounds like possibly something is coming apart in the trans, which is extremely rare on the RSV's.

No words ever seem appropriate when folks pass on. It is always hard to loose a kindred spirit in our riding community. I, like many others, never met Paul besides here on the forum.
