  1. Most of us have bought them directly from the UK, here is the link. It also has the colortune on the web page http://www.carbtune.co.uk/c.com/
  2. Welcome back Rooster....it's good to see you here again my friend
  3. I looked at the title and said DUH! they are with Muffin and Mini...that was a no brainer
  4. It doesn't seem to burn it Brad, it leaks it that bad. I have to figure out where it's coming from, I believe it's mainly from the valve cover gasket. Surprisingly it didn't kill us with the bouncing, the interstates were in pretty good shape. By the time we did 200 miles I was ready to get fuel, oil and stretch a bit. So it worked out ok for us.
  5. I remember you saying in the garage something about "US" being a "BUNCH OF DRUNKEN IDIOTS" I remember something to that effect too, I still love you buddy, but you really dont need any of our help when it comes to sticking your foot in your mouth. You do a fine job all by yourself
  6. For the guys that are looking for Yamaha to make another V4 powered touring machine, I hope this happens. Yamaha has needed to pull their heads out of their rears for atleast the last 5 years with the RSV. It desperately needs upgrades like a better charging system and some upgraded amenities. Unfortunately if this happens the price tag will be north of $20K and I wont be buying one. If I stay in a Venture, it will be a used RSV as they are cheap to buy and lots of parts as they didn't change at all in 14 years I'm not sure what my next newer touring bike will be, obviously an RSV is at the top of the list, but a 1800 Goldwing is right up there too if I can make it fit Lonna and I better....we'll see what happens.
  7. Zaggers bike! That is the king of the Venture Rat bikes
  8. Thanks for the input fellas, I appreciate all of it. Unfortunately the Jeep is my only cage now, the step son has my truck. I can fix the leaks, thats just gaskets and a little wrenching. I would love to get a newer vehicle, but if and when I do, it will be for Lonna. I'll do a bit of fixing and Scary Jeep should be ok. It's paid off, doesn't need emissions testing here in the Houston area due to it's age, and pretty easy to work on. It runs good, and when I get my truck back, it will be nice to have an additional vehicle here if folks want to come down and need something to use. Thanks again for all the little prayers and following the adventures of "Scary Jeep"
  9. Look at it this way Lewis, It stayed in the family
  10. Cool Beans!!
  11. Glad y'all made it home safe, good seeing you folks again...until the next time bro
  12. We are alive I tell you ALIVE!!! I'll be damned buy Scary Jeep did it Got us all the way home with no issues at all. Now I have to say that I wasn't sure we were going to make it at 1st. A little heart to heart with Scary Jeep, and training myself to have a better touch and we made it through all of it. Now there were some interesting spots, Nashville sucked, and Memphis wasn't a lot better, but we didn't take anyone or ourselves out. Had a couple of butt pucker moments, but they came out ok. A wicked storm 100 miles East of Memphis did us in last night and we just stopped and got a room. I was fairly impressed with the mileage, I consistently got in the low 20's and the worst was 17.5 in a strong headwind going through the East side of Arkansas East of Little Rock. I did manage to use 7 gallons of oil in Scary Jeep, yes I said 7 gallons. We would stop about every 200 miles for fuel and I would pour an entire jug in it as it was barely registering on the dipstick. Start over and do it again I have to say, but I'm probably going to rehabilitate Scary Jeep. It's not a whole lot different than me. It's not pretty, kinda rough around the edges, has a bit of a gas issue and is old, but it's got a lions heart and got the job done no matter what it took, so I can definitely relate to it It was great seeing everyone again, even if it was just for 20 hours. Lonna and I love y'all and had a great time breaking bread and being with y'all. Thanks again Freebird for turning you place into a flop house for 5 days....we love ya bro!
  13. For those of you that attended MD at Freebirds, you know what I'm talking about. Lonna and I are shacked up 100 East of Memphis TN right now due to a big storm that was making the "Scary Jeep" even scarier. So we got a room and will hit it again in the morning. Now I have to tell you, there were some fun times on the trip today, especially going through Nashville. Those damn potholes were throwing me all over the place! but we are still alive and going to hit it hard tomorrow morning. Now for those of you that are scratching your head going "Squid...what the hell are you talking about" I'll fill you in a bit. Lonna and I took my pickup to Michigan to leave with her son. he doesn't have a reliable vehicle and is working 6 days a week and really doesn't have time to fix the one he had, or should I say, I have now. He's borrowing my truck until we can find him a better vehicle and we can swap so I can get my truck back. What I am driving back to Texas is an '85 CJ7 and let me tell y'all, it is a scary experience. The front end is a bit loose on this thing, and when it hits bumps it goes all over the place. While we were at MD I was telling folks there that it was a scary ride, hence "Scary Jeep" which is now what I will call it. I know there are folks that love these old Jeeps, but right at this point I am not loving this thing. I am going to have to get into the suspension and fix it. Maybe it will be fun after that, but it's one hell of a ride at this point. So tomorrow we will finish our trek into Texas, and hope Scary Jeep doesn't jump over a ravine
  14. Good to hear y'all made it home relatively unscathed. It was great seeing you again and finally getting to meet Christy, she's a definite keeper my friend, hope she feels better after that smack on the leg
  15. I'm glad to hear y'all have a room, Lonna and I are 100 miles east of Memphis. Ran into a huge storm and I'm not about to drive Scary Jeep through it. Y'all have a good trip tomorrow and be careful.
  16. Be careful Jeff, were stuck 100 miles east of Memphis in a huge storm. Got a room for the night as I couldn't see out of the scary Jeep's windshield
  17. Atleast a BEAR didn't take off with them!!!
  18. Everyone knows your old and slipped out because they knew you needed a nap!
  19. Welcome to our country again Annie
  20. Looked like y'all were having a good time last night from the pics Monty texted me. Hope there will be a bit left when we get there tomorrow
  21. Be careful on your ride, we'll be there tomorrow morning...
  22. Walt, Thanks again for taking your time to help Paul out, you and many others here make me proud to be a member of this group Bravo Zulu!
  23. Thanks for the update Mo, good to hear y'all are doing ok...and what Craig said, get your butts to MD!
  24. Try unplugging the wire harness from the back of the dash and look at the connectors. Look for obvious corrosion and broken wires/spades. Let us know how it looks, electrical gremlins suck!
