  1. Glad it's you telling us, never a good thing to hear. Take the time to heal properly and dont settle for anything less that the bike is worth. Also remember that there will be ailments in the future so dont settle on the first offer for your pain and suffering.
  2. Not what I want to wake up to, I agree that atleast it was him calling and letting you know. Our thoughts are with him...too many accidents happening this year. Please be careful out there folks!
  3. You just ain't right in the head mister
  4. Only if I can win that Lottery...otherwise I'll be working
  5. I just want to take a minute to thank 2 of our own here, Frank Andrews and Larry Skeels (Carbon One) I posted up about my rear rotor being destoryed from brake pad failure. Frank was the 1st to respond with "I have one that you can have" send me your address. Larry PM'd me and said during the meanwhile that I was waiting for the one from Frank, that I could use the one off his Midnight as it wasn't going to be used. I went to Larry's and grabbed the rotor and the brake pads that he had. He said to use it as long as I needed it and gave me the pads. Frank had let me know that he shipped the rotor, brake pads and the caliper as he switch his bike to a trike. I offered him money to atleast cover postage, to which he responded no, he was glad to be able to help. Now dont get me wrong here, I am extremely grateful for these gentlemens generosity. But it seems weird that it happened to me. I have done and will continue to do the same thing as they have done. If I have something and dont use it, I gladly will give it to a member in exactly the same way as Larry and Frank have done for me. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you both, it sure puts back faith in the human race when your on the recieving end on of a situation like this. This place is truly a brotherhood and family that never ceases to amaze me....thanks for taking the time to listen
  6. I might take one for a ride one of these days, but I really have my heart set on an ST 1100 for the driver back and forth to work. I want to keep the miles on the RSV for "Touring" and not kill it 100 miles a day back and forth to work Dont know about ES next year, we have plans for a 2 week run in the early spring and then a week in Ontario. It might be kinda thin by that point ....but if I win that damn lottery
  7. Larry's product is top notch, I have never known him to build anything at less that perfect. I made one as I had all the materials, but I wouldn't hesitate a second to buy his had I not done it myself. I'll probably buy one from Larry for my uncle who just bought a '99.
  8. I hate to say it but DITTO PS still love ya buddy

  21. Buy which bike feels best to you. I personally dont like the foot position on the 1800cc wings. Unfortunately your comparing apples to oranges, as both bikes are totally different beasts. I also like too that the RSV is a much simpler bike. The wing has A LOT of electronics and gadgets. If your a gadget guy then this might appeal to you. I look at it as there is more things to potentially go wrong with the wing than the RSV. Performance too is a different feel, unfortunately the wing out handles the RSV. It was designed this way and should do it. All in all it's up to you on what feels best, go take a ride on both. Take Momma and see which one she feels better on. My wife didn't like the feel of the wing's rear seat area. If your wife travels a lot with you then this might also be an issue. Good luck in whatever you decide and stay on the site regardless of what you get....were all here just for the fun
  22. When you build a superior product, word travels fast. It's always good to hear that your keeping yourself busy. Looking very forward to seeing you again

  25. Ron...My Friend, Words are never easy to put together when we hear of a sensless loss like this one. It always bring ones emotions to a breaking point and we ask God why? He is there for us, nurturing us, even though we believe we are being punished as he has take one of his children home. I too met you, and instantly liked you, you have a good old soul and I appreciate who you are. There are many folks here on this site that I feel this way about. So to you and all of my "Family" here I love you folks, and if I dont see you again....you have made my life better because I know you. If you need to talk Bro, I'm here for you...here is something I like folks to have in times like these. God Bless you my friend Irish Tombstone Prayer Death is nothing at all, I have only slipped away into the next room. Whatever we were to eachother, that we are still Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way which you always used to. Laugh as we always laughed together. Play, Smile, Think of me, Pray for me. Let my name be the household word that it always was, let it be spoken without effort. Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was, there is absolutely unbroken continuity. Why should I be out of your mind because I am out of your sight? I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner. All is well, nothing is past, nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before...Only better, infinitely happier and forever we will all be one together with Christ
