  1. Thanks for keeping us updated Bruce. Still reeling from this, I just cant get my mind off of it. I just wish there was something other than pray that I could do
  2. John....You have a PM in your box
  3. I am numb..... I dont know what to say, but feel that I need to say something. Gary and Leslie are good friends of ours, as we have spent many times riding and sharing an evening dinner with them. The tears flow for your loss my friend, I truly wish there were words that took the pain away...but there are none. I'm having a hard time thinking right now, so I'll end this with We love you Buddy
  4. We appreciate that
  5. Thanks Wil, Thats a good place to take it, it doesn't need to be here
  6. I've been fortunate enough to not hit anything major. That being said I would like to think that I wouldn't try to avoid it. Once you take the bike out of a strait path you will not have any control of it. Hit whatever strait on and you stand a better chance of keeping the bike upright. I do believe that the most important thing would be keep your head in the game. Keep thinking and reacting to how the bike is responding, you might be surprised that the bike would stay up for a good time.
  7. I'd love to hate you Gary....but you are my buddy and I'm very envious You 2 have a great time and I hope all the colors are peak for you
  8. I have had 4 Ventures, 2 1st gens and 2 RSV's, they are a great machine. As far as what you should get, thats all up to how you intend to ride. If your into long distance touring, the RSV is probably the best bet. If shorter jaunts are your thing, and the sterio isn't a big deal then a Tour Deluxe might work well. It's all in what you plan on doing....good luck with your choice
  9. Definitely sounds like a good day Thanks for posting it, our time up north here is growing short and we'll have to live vicariously through other folks rides over the winter
  10. To answer your question, I dont know why the weight is in there But I did remove mine as I think they are ugly as sin. I like the look way better without them. I have had no adverse effects by their being gone, I also haven't noticed any squealing of the front brake either. BVinson has them removed also on his bike, hopefully he'll chime in on his experiences with them off. I would leave them off if you dont care for them, you can always put them back on at a later date if you wish
  11. What are you asking for it Bull??
  12. Damn! I want to show up and have some of those fixins Good to hear he's out and about, we still have to see you folks again real soon....perhaps around the holidays
  13. I too use the iron city clamps Spyders look to be the exact clamp as what I use, but mine are part # 037-0015 http://www.ironcitycycles.com/inventory.php?nav_0=2&nav_1=4
  14. My AIS is completely removed and I still have the "Chirp" It's just one of the characters of all the Ventures.
  15. Here is a previous post on speaker upgrades http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=4637&highlight=Pioneer+speakers
  16. You hit the nail on the head there Tom
  17. I have to say that I like the looks of the DN-01, not real crazy about an automatic...but I'd be happy to take one for a little test ride
  18. I agree with Kit, he's gonna have to ride both to see what is best for his style of riding.
  19. Thanks Russell for your diligence in keeping the site on the strait and narrow. I personally didn't read it but your descretion is always spot on, let sleeping dogs lie. ....and Charlie....be good
  20. Ed, Your in our thoughts and were glad to hear that it wasn't worse. Take your time and heal up proper, lots of riding to do next year Thanks Brad, appreciate your handling this for the old coot
  21. Denis, I know when folks have installed the Flanders bars on their G2's that they had to change all the cables as well. Probably not what you want to hear but that may be your option...I'm sure others will chime in here.
  22. Nice looks pretty cool from the back end there fishman
  23. Squidley
