help , oil pressure
Squidley replied to Thom's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Dont be alarmed, these engines dont run good oil pressure. I have seen at an idle when they are warm a gauge read zero. This is why I dont run a gauge on mine as I dont want to freak out everytime I look at it -
Rooster, I'll give the usual 1 set of R/K brackets and 1 pr of the 1st gen Driving light brackets.

I feel your frustration Russ, the majority of those folks couldn't find their way out of a bag with 2 openings in it. And these are the kinds of folks that elect world leaders...you are right, this country is doomed

Just making it harder and more of an aggrivation to cross over. I have to believe their thinking is by making it harder, less folks are going to cross in either direction.....but not this kid

I am surprised that they even came out with an '08 model. I have said it here before that the current platform of the G2 is on numbered days

Jeff, If you can't find one through the site, let me know and I'll make you one like I did on mine. It's just a piece of 3/4" aluminum cut to size drilled and tapped.

But he speaks the truth, I dodged the step children and grandchildren yesterday. We had a nice quiet Dinner with Lonnas mom....that was very nice JT...Yes, I could understand why some eat their young

Has anyone else installed this on their 2nd gens?
Squidley replied to 1BigDog's topic in Watering Hole
Absolutely...Let me go turn my phone on -
The chrome eyebrows that I am talking about are on the upper front fairing at a 45 degree angle from the headlight.

I would agree with Muffin, in that the connection plug from the stator is dirty. Mine went bad on me as I was leaving work 1 day and I had to strip and splice the wires together to make it home. I have since soldered them together and sealed them up. -
Jim, From 1 vet to another, thank you for your sacrifise and being away from your family during the holiday...God bless you brother Semper Fi

The Air Fell Out of My Rear Tire, And the RideOn Didn't Seem to Work
Squidley replied to 86er's topic in General Tech Talk
Todd, The ride on is a pre-treatment, it doesn't work well after the fact. Even though I believe that the site says you can remove the nail, but I personally would leave the nail in, unless it was in a questionable spot. I did the same test when I was seeing how the ride-on worked and when I removed the screw it all came out. But when the screw was in it didn't loose any air -
Steve, Your post reminds me of why we do this, good on ya both Happy Thanksgiving

Might that be DeBerry east Texas??? perhaps a certain ambassador...paybacks for a couple of beers in the summer

I hate to say it, but they are brotherhooding to their friend so it doesn't go on his record. I wont even get started on it as it will go south fast. Sorry to hear of the whole deal, group riding can be fun, but it's a lot of work. There are many times that I just enjoy riding with folks that I know well or just being solo.

Sounds logical....but it doesn't work. They really use good adhesive to put them on. The eyebrows on the front fairing are even worse to get off
