  1. I always loved the rendition of that song. It's on the Santa Clause with Tim Allen...thanks for posting it up Merry Christmas to all of our members and their families
  2. JT, Dont take time off just to send out payment. Shoot me your addy and I'll get a set off to you. When you can get to it send the payment...not a big deal. Squid
  3. That is a drag, I can only imagine how frustrating it would be to get parts there. Here's hoping that it will all make it in time, I know I'm going crazy not being able to be on my bike
  4. I sold a dirtbike on ebay and the guy who bought it used this company http://www.haulbikes.com/haulbikes.html I was extremely impressed with the rig that showed up and this is all that they do. If I was in a position to have to have a bike shipped, these are the folks that I would use
  5. Then I suppose that would make 2 troublemakers in this post
  6. Lynn, I have had several inlines, and they do what they are supposed to. I just dont like the jerky throttle responce off of many that I have ridden. I wouldn't want that on a touring bike, and I really do like how the V4 sounds. I do agree that it doesn't need to be a huge displacement, just an efficient use of power. With a little time and effort our V4's will rock and roll, I have no problems with the 1300cc's....perhaps the Vmax rearend is just what I need to cure that itch
  7. Cool Beans Old Man!!! Yet another one for Grandma to spoil...good on all of you. Pass on the best wishes to everyone
  8. If I do that...then we wont be friends anymore, he dont trust you for some reason
  9. I doubt that I will own another inline four, and never for a touring bike. I have a feeling that Yamahas V4 days are numbered. I'll stick with Yamahas new touring bike will be off the Stratoliner frame and engine...we'll see PS But it would be nice if they totally redesigned the platform we have and kept the V4
  10. Love the fabrication aspect of it, very trick looking....just not looking very comfy
  11. Thanks Thom....your a good man no matter what I've heard
  12. Not a bad idea JT...you might be on to something here
  13. Let me run this back up top I wanted to let everyone know that for the rest of the month of December, Half of the monies collected from the sale of the DLB will go to Black Owl's Iraq Christmas fund. So if you wanted a good excuse to buy these...there it is
  14. Lets run this back up top here Folks, we haven't had quite the success with this as we would like to see...so let me sweeten it up here. From now until the end of December anybody that buys a set of the 1st gen Driving light brackets or a pair of the R/K muffler brackets I will donate HALF of the sale cost to this. We can still send out care packages after Christmas as they always need stuff over there. Lets see if we can make the pot a little bigger, and let our boys know that we at VR.org give a damn about them
  15. Lewis, I just wanted to thank you for all the time and effort you put into all the Vogel's. There are some folks that step up to the plate and swing for the fence. You always go the extra mile for us and I for one appreciate all that you do here for us
  16. An electrical engineer with a minor in computers Pretty cool and I love it when they keep that meter spinning...makes my profit portfolio fat!

    Dickies

Not a bad price, I have a similar black one that works great for those days that start at 35 degrees
  18. Looks good Rooster As far as having it Venturerider International...that's what it is. Many countries represented here and I too agree that the ring sounds good

  20. Thanks Boss
  21. I have a set from JC Whitney http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Product/tf-Browse/s-10101/Pr-p_Product.CATENTRY_ID:2002576/p-2002576/N-111+10211+600014710/c-10111 I like them and they are holding up well, Kuryakyn's are nice, but they cost an arm and leg. I saved the money and had more for fuel to ride
  22. Have fun and be safe on it, we'll be leaving Michigan in 2 weeks with the '99 in tow to get some riding in down south....I have almost chewed through the leather straps!
  23. Couldn't have said it any better Thank you to all our Warriors, Past and Present
  24. I'm not laughing at you Thom...I'm laughing with you ....but you just dont know that your laughing :rotf::rotf:
  25. Not to climb on a soapbox here (but some will feel that way ) I would like to say something about our CEO. Some of you have personally met Freebird, I am fortunate enough that I live about 3 hours away and can spend time with him and his family. Don is a VERY good friend of mine, and like all of my friends, I will come to his side when anyone tries to challenge his autority here (Dont get PC with that statement) I heard it mentioned a couple times about giving someone a warning about inappropriate comments or behavior. Trust me when I say that we DO do that. There have been a few that have been warned about postings that were made. Don truly hates to do this, he is one of the nicest, easiest going folks you'll ever meet. I, on the other hand, agree with a couple of warnings and then your gone. I have no tolerence for idiots and have no problems if they are not here. We moderators do talk and together decide what actions, if any, should be taken to folks that cross the line. I have mentioned it before that YOU folks make this site what it is. The Moderators and Freebird just steer it sometimes, it's usually on cruise control. I too have to bite my tounge on a few posts as I dont get along with all views here, but thats life and it wont ruin my day. Thank you to all that enjoy this place and especially to Don for all his efforts to give us the best place on the web....for free! BTW...We do watch the troublemakers, and know who they are
