  1. Very Nice Pics! Good to see that Steve (Hdhtr) is still alive and kickin' Lewis and Charlene too. Sorry we had to miss that one, but Texas sure is nice for this northern boy.
  2. Good to see you folks were able to make it down there. Lonna and I are planning on going by there and spending time with him when we get back from the south here. Thanks so much for the pics and as always he's always in our thoughts
  3. Thanks for Raul's name, I'll get it changed, we really enjoyed ourselves and all the southern hospitality
  4. This site can be some good therapy at times...BTW did you have to put a big Texas boot in that HD dealers behind with the rear tire??
  5. I'll Ride a few miles for you here in TX today buddy...it's the least I can do for you BTW...Thanks for the mass email and surprise M&E on Saturday, we had a great time
  6. It was a great suprise to be able to have all 3 of the brothers there JT, Ron and Don (Hipshot, Rattlesnake and Bisquit respectively) Straitpipe and Rons friend Raul Lonna and I had a great time meeting everyone and are very happy that so many were able to attend. Hell I was only expecting Hipshot and Rattlesnake to be there and showed up to 4 bikes and a minivan I do have a few pics for your amusement...and will lable them as I have been reprimanded for not doing so on another recent M&E post Pic #1 LtoR Rattlesnakes friend Raul, Hipshot, Straitpipe, Rattlesnake, Bisquit and myself #2 Hipshot, bisquit and me #3 Raul and Straitpipe, Ron's buried in the back. #4 Hans (Straitpipe) and Ron (Rattlesnake) #5 & 6 The BS session that always ensues a meeting at DQ #7 Raul #8 Hipshot, Bisquit and me #9 This was in Wharton TX where we got a bite to eat, A very sad day when you see something like this
  7. Looking forward to Michigan thawing out and doing some riding with you this year my friend
  8. Now that was funny!!!! :rotf: But if it was Charlie, he would have been trying to pull it with a Venture
  9. Bummer about the cat Bro '08 is a new year and I'm sure we'll have many good memories to overshadow any of the bad that might happen BTW...Nice pics of you and the fellow Canucks at the north pole keeping warm
  10. Kit, You can always change 55 watt lights down to 35, the naked eye isn't going to be able to distinguish the loss of luminens (sp?) I have the factory light bar on my '99 and just customized the lights a bit by hanging them below the main headlight. I have 35 watt sealed Halogens in them and they really put a large swath of light across the roadway.
  11. I know just how you feel Fred, Lonna and I went to Victoria TX yesterday to see Hipshot and some other members. About 300 miles round trip and the weather was as perfect as it gets, 75 sunny and light wind
  12. I totally understand where your coming from, I do like the idea of the handicapped workers, give them some self worth and something to strive for I'll be interested to see how it all pans out, I have had ideas that seemed to catch on like wildfire and quickly was overwhelmed .....you just might be on to something here
  13. Nice work from the Momma...I suppose you had a bit to do with it too many years ago Good on all of you, enjoy them while they're young, seems they grow so much faster these days
  14. You are a Saddle Sore Biker You don't care what the destination is; it's all about the ride. You choose a direction and go. A numb butt comes with the territory, but so does terrific scenery, time to think, and lonely roadside diners in towns past their prime. I do believe I would agree with that, even though I have been an RC on many occasions
  15. Jim, Sounds like you have a good idea on your hands there. Price might be rich for some folks blood. Not being a smartass, just playing devils advocate. I know that there have been a few that have installed EQ's in the cassette deck area after it's removal. Added power and fader control, but I do like the idea of the intergration that you have come up with. It might take off like wildfire, I have been wrong in the past and surely will be more so ion the future. Perhaps if you took pics of it and the installation process it might help folks visualize a bit better
  16. Tom, Seeing now there is family here to visit in the future, you can bet that we'll be back down to Texas on the bike. Unfortunately were running short on time and going west isn't in the picture But we are heading to Victoria today to meet up with Hipshot and possibly Rattlesnake for what else but.....DQ
  17. Here's wishing that we get all the miles on the bike that we want. Happy New year to you and yours there in Quebec
  18. Thanks Lewis, May Charlene and your '08 be a bit more stress free than '07 was
  19. Right back at you Steve
  20. Hey Bro, I'm trying real hard not to rub it in, but is sure is nice to be able to ride and not freeze my tail off. As far as the Spaghetti, we'll get you and Kelly over to the house and make a batch. We'll have to get back together when we come home....I'll try and bring some heat and sunshine when we come back
  21. Welllll....... My neice and nephew as well as their mothers joined us, those are who the bottles belong to. But I do like JT's explanation, much more colorful and I wouldn't put it past Lowell Lewis, We went to a small little place in Metairie, Beth and Kenny hadn't even been there before. Had a Turkey Po Boy and it wasn't half bad, Beth did make up a great Gumbo and nice spread I really enjoyed that Were having a great time and I'm actually starting to like this relaxation thing

  24. Kenny...Work on Thursday if you can, we'll be leaving Houston on Wednesday
  25. Y'all did a good job of holding back. It was a great surprise and I really enjoyed it. I'm thinking we might shoot back through Louisiana and stay with Y'all again. The trace would be nice, but I want to see it with leaves on the trees. Besides it means we have to come back south again, and I like the sounds of that ....Thanks for keeping the secret
