Nice Job Kiddo!!! That is a very nice looking home, lots of character and right now is an excellent time to buy a house with interest rates as low as they are. The 1st home is a scary thought at 1st, but it is one of the best investments that you can make as your really paying yourself in the long run. I do hope that it all goes to plan and the gangbangers can have the trailer park....Good on ya there lady

Something tells me that Mamma Yama doesn't make it as they want to sell you the whole reservoir. I have never seen or heard of one Jeff

I usually dont comment on stuff like this....but I will on this one. It's great to be independent and think outside the box. But like it was said if he did get in trouble, who would come and get him, and who would pay for it. Hopefully it would just be a thinning of the Gene pool, and they would find his frozen butt in the spring. It's the same thing with the Idiots that go on lake St. Clair when they know the ice is too thin. Then the Coast Guard has to come and get them because of their stupidity. It does take a big set of brass gonads to even attempt it, but also a huge lack of brains. Perhaps I'm just too old and I really do hate the cold, but this guy is just more than a few bricks shy upstairs

Some may argue with me here, but thats fine. I have used the Iridium plugs before and they didn't make a darn bit of difference in my bike. To me it's just a waste of money. I run nothing but the stock NGK's in the bike now and save $28 in the process...Just a few cents worth

Interesting read, myself, I dont need to keep up with the Jones'. I'm not in a financial position to go out and buy the latest and greatest. Folks get into huge trouble that way by living beyond their means. I'll wait for the price to come down and then buy the things that I can afford....besides I'm too busy riding the bike to watch movie
-
I do know about going down....not fun. Whomever it is I hope a quick recovery for him

Thank you Kiki, it's good folks all over the planet like yourself that will help this become a reality I also want to thank everbody else that has contributed to this. It's always good when we can make a difference in a life, especially with the bad ass image than many folks give bikers. I am so proud to be part of this group....you folks never cease to amaze me

Buddy is right, a lot of electronics are in the lowers and you wouldn't get any airflow through them so to speak. Peg I dont know if you have these deflecters, but I know many have them on the G2 and are very happy with both their cooling and heat retention respectively. http://www.starmotorcycles.com/star/accessories/acscitemdetail/5/4/83/408/all/1/4607/0/detail.aspx

All depends D I like to change them out every year, that is more than the mfgr says which I think is about 30K. I like to have the assurace of the bike performing at it's best and the price of a set of plugs and an hour's time is negligeable in my book

I put a leather bag on the front of my '99 and had these tools in it Dual side wrenches (meaning 2 sizes on 1 wrench) in 8, 10 12 13 14 and 15mm 4 in one screwdriver (4 bits in the handle) 8" Cresent wrench (which doubles as a hammer ) Small slip joint pliers 3/8" Ratchet w/small ext. and the same size sockets as the above wrenches plus a 17 and 18 mm This little kit from Canadian tire (this is an awsome little kit ) http://www.canadiantire.ca/browse/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524443279726&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=1408474396672892&bmUID=1200670870963&deptid=1408474396672839&ctgrid=1408474396672844&subctgrid=1408474396672892 Metric allenheads Electrical tape and lengths of electrical wire Thats about it, it may seem like overkill, but when you end up 2K away from home, sometimes you just need a warm fuzzy about your ability to fix a problem Oh yeah the cell phone and CC are there too

In our day and age it is awsome to see that folks will step up to the plate. Thank you Kevin (KR1) for your time and effort, this place is what it is because of folks like you

I just heard yesterday that the battery in it is sealed in and YOU cannot remove it. It has to be sent back to apple for them to replace it. Mind you this is just hear say but that wouldn't surprise me at all
-
We have a winner!!! You can't take out the front plugs without the Tank off and the dogbones removed. I'll rewrite that....I dont know any other way to get the plugs out besides the previous statement
-
Hey Don....just wanted to say Hi Oh yeah...I got my ding a lings too, good job POP's

Lets wait and see what comes of it, we weren't there and dont have all the info about it. I know where Yammer is coming from, but he's in a whole different world inside with them. This thread is going ok right now, but let us not take it down a dark path

Fred, What you could do, if it doesn't already have one, is install a trans cooler. This helps keep the temp down and will assist in making the trans last as long as possible seeing your pulling stuff with it
-
I agree with Dale on this one also, my friend did GM trannys for many years and has said the same thing. I did exactly the opposite on a Ford van and changed the fluid out less than 3K later the trans was slipping. Let it be until it pukes and then worry about if it's worth it to rebuild it.
