Well I know you and that does scare me....but your right, they are 2 of the best folks we have here. Both I consider good friends and I know that I couldn't have done a lot of things without them....this is a cool place no matter what anyone says

Boss....your no dummy, but I'm leary on how they can give $25 to you for joining. I'm all about saying to hell with paypal as they are like ebay with chargings becoming outrageous. I'm gonna have to see how this pans out a bit, it's probably ok but that little voice is talking, and when I dont listen to him I get in trouble

I had a bike I sold on ebay that the fella who bought it was in Florida and used this place. http://www.haulbikes.com/haulbikes.html Now I'll tell you, this was a very slick setup, I was very impressed with the rig that came and got the bike (at 2am) and I talked with the driver for about 30 minutes or so. I wouldn't hesitate to use them if I have to have a bike shipped.

I suppose....if you say so

Yeah, that was my 1st one I made, now I make them out of aluminum. They are real handy to have. -
I'm not positive, but Bill Predock (wpredock) did end up putting a Venture trunk on his RSTD. I would like to believe that it's just a simple changeover of the hardware and install the trunk, but you might want to PM him and ask what he did.

Did you go to the pizza place in old downtown St. Charles? That is a great place -
Tom, Are you talking about the rack that the rear trunk sits on?

At 4K if you buy it now, there is still an easy 4 to 5K to make it useable, and it's still a salvage title. Which puts it right in the value of just buying a used one for that price....there is no deal with that bike unless you want to customize it.

Whats up with this gap?

Russell is around...just busy GW....Hard to say about your covers, something could not be aligned properly and that could mean lots of difference 12" from that point. The upper fairings need to be properly placed if they have been removed. Gotta remember this is 20 year old plastic and sometimes it just takes a shape after so long and doesn't want to come back. I have to replace some of my pins on the '86 I just bought. I have ysed a method of Ford door panel clips that work great. I'll get a package and get it up on the site. As long as the base of the pin is still intact then this works great. -
Once ya do it, ya got to keep doing it......

You old folks need your exersize, you better keep using that push mower and get yourself back into shape -
Good to hear, glad you like them, I know you'll love the sound better than stock. We'll get out that way this summer, they cut my overtime way back...so that means no working on weekends

I haven't had any dealings with shipping a car, a bike I could help you with. Perhaps you could go to one of your local car dealers and ask them if they have a special request for a vehicle who they use. They might be able to steer you in a direction

Cindy, Your opening yourself up for multiple lawsuits saying we had the honor of your presence here....it is very obviously the other way around. We might let a statement like you have made pass because Dale is such a level headed dude...after all....he does put up with you

It's been uncommonly nice here in Michigan low to mid 70's and sunny, which it doesn't get any better in April....and I have had Bronchitis for the last week listening to all the bikes ride by. I'm being punished for something I did I'm sure of it

We have a WADDLE

You might be right GW I know that many of the Michigan crew run the Avon Venom's, which when I refer to Avons that is what I am talking about. I have never heard any of them claim to have this problem, so it's surprising to hear that obviously others have run into this issue. Perhaps there is more of a break in period with them for some. Another thing I noticed is them saying about it subsiding with a passenger on the bike. Now I'm not a little guy at almost 300 lbs, I know I can safely say that I outweigh Carl alone and Robin and Wayne combined. Could be that it's a weight issue on the rear until it breaks in.....I dont know. This one is really turning out to be a head scratcher, I'll be interested if we can see it through and come up with a decent solution. After all....this is why this site exsists right you know besides eating -
Just a note here, the leveling links will actually raise the rear of the bike aby about an inch. This will be felt in the seat also, it will help the slow speed steering a bit as your changing the steering geometry of the front, but it's not a failsafe. I'm also in the club and the best thing to remember is dont hit the front brakes quick while going slow. It takes a lot of getting used to, to be able to master these beasts. They are heavy and demand respect...which I humbly give them

Did you say you were buying lunch!!! How about a late supper

Al, If you dont cut the ones off of your factory mufflers then yes you will. As mentioned there is a thread about it in the tech library. There are also posts about clapms that will work and look good. Spotsy, If you have the 2 small baffle plates completely out of the mufflers then thats all of the mod that most folks do. I would imagine if you try to remove all the baffling then you stand a good chance at destroying the mufflers, and they would be obnoxioiusly loud. If your looking to get a loud exhaust system you'll have to look at some of the aftermarkets.

Folks have to be vigilant with that, I know I get excited when I can actually get back out on the bike. Good thing to keep in mind so we dont end up there either

Guys just 1 word.....RUN!!!

FWIW.... Dont waste your time with measuring the seafoam, dump a full can into a full tank of gas. Granted that is a very concentrated mix, but will clean it up better than anything. I have always put an entire can in when I do it, and run it hard for at least 50 miles. I think your issue will be completely gone
