I'll tell you to go with the PCW as it is a bit cheaper and very easy to install. I know others that have the Barnett and are happy with it also, it's a good system, just more money. I have personally done 4 of the PCW kits and they work awsome, John Ganey is a great guy to work with and he's a small business which I like to support. You can do the swap out without even changing the oil, set it on the sidestand, take the cover off and do the change. Mechanically inclined 30 minutes, not so much 60 to 90....I know others will chime in here also.

Clutch Problem ?????
Squidley replied to mstar56's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Like Mike (Albino Rhino) mentioned, a torque wrench is nice as you can break off the pressure plate bolts easily as I believe the torque is 6 ft lbs (5.8)- 7 replies

Non of the Ventures 1st or 2nd gens use radials, just biased ply I use the Avon Venoms Some have not been as lucky as you, if tires aren't stored correctly they can start to break down. I myself dont want to pay top dollar for an old stock tire...but this is just me.

Well at least you didn't stalk him and scare the hell out of him in the process I find that once folks come to the site, most of them stick around, good job on ballyhooing us up

Here is a post on a possible answer about the return vent being plugged, I have had this happen to me on my 1st '86 http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=12419 The caliper being sticky too is another option. -
Thanks Lewis, I know I am all to guilty of getting wrapped up my own life and whizzing by everything else. I am right on board with you in hoping that any an all of our members that can, will stop by and sign the guest book and donate if it's in their means. I want to thank you for all your efforts Lew, there are a few members here that go beyond the call for friendship and the love of their fellow man. I have the utmost respect for what certain members have done for this cause...well done my friend.

Clutch Problem ?????
Squidley replied to mstar56's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Mike, Sounds like the typical clutch slippage on the G2's, really not a big deal. It's a fairly easy fix and not real expensive. 2 options basically to upgrade the system, one being a Barnett and the other being a kit from PCW. I have done several of the PCW upgrades and have been VERY happy with the results from them. It's an inexpensive kit about $90 and you can change it out with the bike on it's sidestand without loosing any oil (yeah I just noticed the trike). I have also done a couple of the Barnett kits, which work well too, but cost a bit more money. I recommend the PCW, heres the site http://www.pcwracing.net/ John Gayne is a great guy to deal with and I have talked with him on the phone several times. I'll throw out too that if you would like some help with changing it out, I'd be glad to assisit you. Hope this helps you out a bit.- 7 replies

Good to hear that you got a deal...but I'll play devil advacate here, check the date code on the tire. It may seem like a great deal until you find out that your tire has been sitting on the shelf for 2 years....just a heads up and my .02 worth
