  1. Good news to hear that she got it done, you folks will be in our thoughts
  2. Glad it turned out good, I wont even start the tirate that I would by saying anymore....good to hear it turned out well
  3. I dont want to give anybody the wrong impression, please dont think my statement is a threat. Sometimes if you sugar coat something it's easier for anyone to come back in a better tone than a pissin contest. It's very possible that he is having problems in his business, or that this is a 2nd business for him. Sometimes you have to remind folks that their actions and tones have reprocussions especially with organizations like ours that have a few thousand members. I would really like for Blaine to get ahold of TTWhite and just say "hey we have been swamped and my dog died" than what has and is transpiring. I just want to be able to send folks here on this site to a reputable merchant, if they aren't then we dont need to promote their businesses here
  4. A color enigma....you sure know how to lead a bunch of folks on
  5. To get my cycle endorsement in Michigan some 10 + years ago I had to take one. I did it on my bike (which was an 850 Suzuki) and found that I learned a lot even though I was riding for years before that. I think it's a great idea and even better that it has to be taken before a license is issue. I would also like to take an advanced course for the touring bikes on my Venture.
  6. I have to agree with Jerry, buy one off ebay or take yours off and have a professional bodyshop do it. You could have them colormatch the paint and it will be smooth as glass and you'll be out maybe $200 without adding yet another thing to the to-do list
  7. She's been getting you into jams for years Gerald....why should she stop now
  8. Your asking quite a lot for us to be nice now aren't you
  9. Not Cupcake!!!!
  10. Thats unfortunate to hear, I have always got great service from themand propt shipping. This might need a bit of digging into, when I get home I'll PM you and get a bit of info. I can't hardly think that they would want negative feedback on a forum with 5000 members
  11. The plug is in a very bad spot, so it really shouldn't just come unplugged. Find the other end of it and plug it back in and then start it and put a multimeter on it and see how many volts it's pushing at the battery. 13.8 is fine with the engine revving, low 13's is not good. I dont know how old the battery is, but when Gunboat had his problems in Kitchener it turned out to be a bad battery and just replacing it cleared the entire issue up.
  12. Unfortunately if you dont have the tools or abilities to tackle that project that is probably what it will cost. I know that I can order 2 new tires from Southwest Moto Avon venoms or Michelin Commanders for about $240 delivered to my door and then I take the rims off the bike and have them swapped out which woukld be ablout $80 for both tires if I didn't know someone that owns a Honda dealership. It wasn't screaming deal, but your stuck between a rock and a hard place and they know it
  13. Chuck, Without starting everyone up on tire repair get a new tire as soon as possible. Plugs, from a tire repair standpoint are a temporary fix. I hear all the naysayers complaining about that statement, but replace the tire or have it removed and patched from the inside. be safe bud....there are more M&E and rally to go to
  14. Lew....someone gave you BAD information, besides everyone here knows that I wouldn't have left HALF a donut....I would have ate the whole thing
  15. Holy crap! Nice choppers there junior
  16. You nut!.....her too
  17. That is funny, in a very real sad sort of way....my bet is that it's not true though
  18. I wont mention who's home in WEST BY GOD VIRGINIA I saw this box of Krispy Kreme's at.....but it wasn't all that long ago, and there were lots of people there PS Look at the one thats HALF eaten!!
  19. I have mentioned this before, but it's worth saying again. What I envisioned with the International Rallys (and this statement is not about me) is swapping east to west from year to year. It's not realistic that the west coasters would have traveled almost 3000 miles to get to Kitchener. It's also not fair that way for the New Englanders to go to California for a Rally. I know this is for the contest, and we'd all like to be close to our own states, but I would like to see as many folks be able to show up from the North American contingent as possible. We will still have local mini rallys and such like Venture West and Ashville, but for the Big one, the International I would like to see it be fair about miles folks have to travel.....just babbling
  20. Get rid of Vista .....sorry I couldn't help it
  21. The stock mirrors are 1 piece as far as I know, you would have to switch to an aftermarket like Jim mentioned
  22. Cool Beans Jeff!!!!
  23. Be safe and have fun, looking forward to some good stories upon your return
  24. Seeing yours is an '05 you should already have a trunk reinforcement kit installed on it. The early 2nd gens had an issue with the trunks cracking out and Yamaha retrofitted them with this kit. I would most certainly make sure that the kit is on your bike and be prepared if you have a trunk rack on the bike for the dealer to say that you overloaded it and caused it yourself. Walk in with knowledge about the earlier trunks cracking and the probably will replace it if it doesn't look like obvious abuse
  25. Very Nice Tate Good to see you folks had a good time and saw some of the indiginous creatures about
