  1. Chuck, Without starting everyone up on tire repair get a new tire as soon as possible. Plugs, from a tire repair standpoint are a temporary fix. I hear all the naysayers complaining about that statement, but replace the tire or have it removed and patched from the inside. be safe bud....there are more M&E and rally to go to
  2. Lew....someone gave you BAD information, besides everyone here knows that I wouldn't have left HALF a donut....I would have ate the whole thing
  3. Holy crap! Nice choppers there junior
  4. You nut!.....her too
  5. That is funny, in a very real sad sort of way....my bet is that it's not true though
  6. I wont mention who's home in WEST BY GOD VIRGINIA I saw this box of Krispy Kreme's at.....but it wasn't all that long ago, and there were lots of people there PS Look at the one thats HALF eaten!!
  7. I have mentioned this before, but it's worth saying again. What I envisioned with the International Rallys (and this statement is not about me) is swapping east to west from year to year. It's not realistic that the west coasters would have traveled almost 3000 miles to get to Kitchener. It's also not fair that way for the New Englanders to go to California for a Rally. I know this is for the contest, and we'd all like to be close to our own states, but I would like to see as many folks be able to show up from the North American contingent as possible. We will still have local mini rallys and such like Venture West and Ashville, but for the Big one, the International I would like to see it be fair about miles folks have to travel.....just babbling
  8. Get rid of Vista .....sorry I couldn't help it
  9. The stock mirrors are 1 piece as far as I know, you would have to switch to an aftermarket like Jim mentioned
  10. Cool Beans Jeff!!!!
  11. Be safe and have fun, looking forward to some good stories upon your return
  12. Seeing yours is an '05 you should already have a trunk reinforcement kit installed on it. The early 2nd gens had an issue with the trunks cracking out and Yamaha retrofitted them with this kit. I would most certainly make sure that the kit is on your bike and be prepared if you have a trunk rack on the bike for the dealer to say that you overloaded it and caused it yourself. Walk in with knowledge about the earlier trunks cracking and the probably will replace it if it doesn't look like obvious abuse
  13. Very Nice Tate Good to see you folks had a good time and saw some of the indiginous creatures about
  14. Pinch me!!! What did I do Now
  15. I'll bet there is a HOT Red bike just waiting there for you
  16. Dont sweat it, mine is due for the 600 mile change too, but it will have more like 1200 on it when I finally can take it in Tuesday. I will do this just because of the warranty and not so much that I trust the dealer.
  17. I bought the Morgan Carbtune and can have a bike synced in less than 30 minutes. I just did my '08 the other day and it took me 5 minutes....it's that easy to use once you know how.
  18. Set a date and we'll do our best to be down there
  19. Thats what I would do also, let your insurance company handle it. Dont mention anything about sueing or such, if the time comes, hit them without notice. Also made damn sure that your son is thoroughly checked out medically. Problems arise years after accidents, so don't settle on anything yet.
  20. Thats what they all are like, it's a mass produced item done by robots. Yamaha chrome items have never been very good at finish quality. I have been using the ones from JC whitney that are a bit different configuration. They are priced out at about $80 + shipping, your rack there is no different than any other Star accessory item.
  21. Gary, Where abouts in Michigan are you? I'm SE area and could stop over if you want a hand with it. The brakes can be a bear to bleed and it can be tedious to say the least. My cell # is in my profile, give a call if you need or would like a hand.
  22. It was great to have you there, people showing up is what makes these rallys. Glad that you had a good time, I know the wife and I did
  23. Also make sure that the connector to the unit is tight on the post of the sender. It's on the right side of the bike on the upper frame tube top of the radiator.
  24. The Green one is for a California emissions hook up....and now you know of the other 2 grounds
