  1. Sorry as well to hear about it Heather, but what a brave warrior Bella was. You have a lot to be proud of with her
  2. Awesome news Grandpa!
  3. Brian, I appreciate the majority of my North Texas brothers and sisters, but you can keep that CRAP up there! I moved just about as far south as I could to get away from it. So enjoy it UP there ok!
  4. As long as they are screwing with you Tweetie, they're leaving some poor innocent guy alone!
  5. My reality.... I never created children of my own God decided that I wasn't getting out that easy Last Saturday I walked down the isle and gave away the Daughter God gave me. So my reality is, I was made into a Daddy by the young woman I gave away.... Her name is Heather
  6. Scott, I hope you continue on the mend my friend, sending good vibes your way to all of you.
  7. Just wanted to come on and let y'all know that because of your diligence and saying a good word for Darin, that his surgery went well. I just got off the phone with my Mom about 5 minutes ago and she filled me in on what has transpired. The Dr. ended up having to put a rod in 1 section of his pelvis, which will be removed in 4 to 6 weeks. He is in recovery now and will have his own room for the duration of the stay in the hospital which will more than likely be a week or so. I can't Thank all of you enough for the support y'all have given me and my family. Prayers are amazing things, you dont realize the emotional importance of them, until you need them. Thank you all again for lifting my brother up, it's a long way to go for him, but I'm very confident that we will get him past this...
  8. Thank you again folks for your prayers, tomorrow morning my brother goes in for surgery. He has the best Dr. that I know of and will be in very good hands human wise. He is doing better, and the wounds that were very ugly yesterday are clearing up a bit due to the Dr. (Same surgeon thats working on him tomorrow) correctly adjusted him in traction. He will have a long haul ahead of him, it will probably be 6 months before he has any sort of normalcy in his life. He probably wont be doing much if any walking for 2 months. He is young, and fit, and strong, so I have every confidence that he will meet this challenge. My only regret is that I am not physically able to be in Michigan with him. I also appreciate all the well wishes on Lonna's facebook, please keep him in mind tomorrow morning...Lots of love to y'all
  9. Sorry to hear of the passing Puc, my brothers outcome today could have been a lot worse, but he's still here with us. Y'all take care of yourselves and the good memories will outweigh the sadness with time.
  10. Dan, You could do yourself a big favor and upgrade your front calipers to R1's. They will bolt directly on and there is quite a few good threads here on the site to get you rolling with it. If you find that you want stock calipers, contact me as I have a set.
  11. Thank you everyone, I can't tell you how much your prayers means to me, Darin is the only brother I have. I have been getting some updates, and it's not all gloom and doom. Just to give you a bit of insight, Darin works for a auto scrap yard (or junk yard as many of us call them) It appears that he was pinned between a truck and the rear wheel of a small front end loader. It pinched him between both, not good. There is some internal bleeding, but they are checking his hemoglobin levels every 2 hours. If it get's bad they will go in tonight, if not then he's still on for the Saturday surgery. He has a pin in right now and is in traction, he's not too happy about that, but I know I wouldn't be either. There is some good news in this, atleast the surgery. The same orthopedic surgeon that performed both of my Dads hip replacements is going to do the operation. He is VERY sharp and I like him a lot, so I dont have that stress to worry about. I did get to talk with him for about 2 minutes, obviously groggy from being doped up, but I heard his voice and was able to let him know I loved him, so that in itself made me feel a lot better. I will keep y'all informed as this goes along, I have a feeling it's going to be a long recovery. I hate to see him have to be this way for his birthday (which is Thanksgiving again this year) but so far he's still here to have a birthday, and I am VERY thankful for that ....Thank you for helping me keep my sanity. Brad
  12. Folks, I come on very humbly and ask for y'all to say a little prayer for my younger brother Darin. I just found out about an hour ago that while he was at work this morning he had an accident as his boss accidentally hit him with a front end loader. He has a broken pelvis, and although it is not life threatning right now, he will go in for surgery on Saturday. I am getting a little information from my parents and sister in law, but he's holding his own right now. If you would please drop a little note to God and ask for him to be with my brother it would ease my mind an awful lot
  13. Doesn't someone as old as Bubber start going backwards with their age, you know, like at 100 you start heading back....
  14. For all that paved the path before me....I remember For all that served with and beside me....I remember For all that follow the path I once tread....I remember Thank You for signing the blank check....because, I remember God bless all of you, both here and abroad who have fought and died to keep democracy alive.
  15. Got out in '91 with the Montgomery GI bill and never used a cent of it. Tried to find work for 6 months after I left and once I did finally start working again I had to work so much overtime to try and catch up. I was never able to have enough time to use it....kinda sucks
  16. Happy Birthday Bobbie!! Enjoy your weekend with George
  17. Nice work Mark, by both you and your family...good on you my friend. Karma comes back 10 fold, good or bad, enjoy "Charlie" (Thats my grandson's name as well )

  19. Happy Birthday Marines! Ooh Rah!!
  20. When y'all get ready to head down here let us know. There is a good crew here in Texas and we'd love to hook up with you folks and ride around. You'll see lots of Bluebonnets and I'm certain you'll enjoy your time down here.
  21. All the best on your LAST deployment Vince, we'll keep the lights on for you....and as others have said, Thank You for your service. Semper Fi!
  22. Hazen, My fwiw, get the extended cab 3rd door and/or 4 door. You will be amazed at how much you will use and extended cab. My next truck will be an additional door extended cab or 4 door. I have a '92 Chevy that one of the younguns in Michigan is using right now and it's an extended cab. I use the hell out of that extra cab space.
  23. Do you think the bike will make it here Paul? If you need both tires, the Kenda Kruz's seem to be a decent inexpensive tire option. I have and am currently using the Shinko Tourmaster with decent results for the money. Motorcycle superstore has the Shinko 777's (which is what I'm running on my '86, and I love them) in the correct size for the bike which is 120/90-18 on the front and 140/90-16 on the rear for $83.99 and $84.99 The 230 Tourmaster (which I have on my '83 and really like them as well) are $64.99 for the front and $78.99 for the rear. There is free shipping on orders over $49 I have the tires that are on my '83, the rear is wearing down and probably doesn't have but about 2 or 3 K left in it. The front has a lot more wear left, probably 5 or 6 K if I was guessing. I'd be happy to give you the tires if you want to come over here, we could just swap them out rims and all. That is if your bike will make it on the tire you have. I'll just buy a new set for the '83. You could also buy a new rear tire and we could change it here and I'll give you my front one. Let me know what would work for you, but I dont think I'd waste my time with amazon on this one as you'll still pay shipping....
  24. All the best to all of you Tricia
