That is a nice looking bike with a fair amount of customizing on it. I dont know realistic market value on it, but somewhere around $5K would probably be in the ballpark.

Good to hear that Mom is doing good, we knew she was going to be hell on wheels once she got back in business. Cool website, I couldn't agree more with some of your statements and how you present them

All this time off work for my back has put me in a precarious position, but if by chance we can swing something....we will
-
I wouldn't go over $2K tops for it just due to the amount of work that will need to be done to it. You could easily spend $2K on replacing rubber parts and other incindentals, by then you have $4K into it and then it's really not a deal. I like the $1K offer and keep the # low to that...good luck on it. I want to get a 2nd bike for jamming miles on back and forth to work.

Always good to hear from you Devildog, now you live in the part of the country that is actually hot as hell We too miss seeing you and Linda, we'll have to work on curing that. I do hope you folks might be able to hit the International in Arkansas. Be safe my friend and remember were thinking of you folks

I have only seen 1 of these scoots in my life and if I had an opportunity to get one at a good price I would. Hope it all works out for you my friend, but I want to be upwind of you, Buddy is a strange character wanting to be downwind

Well he is mistaken if it's a Royal Star and an '86 because they didn't exsist in '86. Here's the next question, does it look similar in style to your RSV? Here is what NADA says it's worth if it's a '96 Royal Star http://www.nadaguides.com/default.aspx?LI=1-23-38-5697-0-0-0&l=1&w=23&p=38&f=5698&m=0292&d=1200014793&y=1996&ml=Y&gc=MC>c=MC

DO IT! I have to say that I have always liked the front fairing on the Road Glide, that would be the Harley that I would own if I could afford one. I love the twin lights and shark nose fairing, I absolutely think you should do it....it's all about making it your own
-
Dennis, Are you talking about a 1996 Royal Star or an '86 Venture??

I imagine that he will see a lot of business from members here just by what you have said. Thank you Chris, and I will remember this when I am in need of parts

Hello Kim... I absolutely remember you and it's good to see you on here, I dont know that we'll be able to make this one...but I know you will have a great time with the east side crew. We'll have to catch up with you and your beau here soon

Bob, It's nothing personal man, I know you, but if you post up something like this your gonna get HONEST answers. I appreciate that you want to share experiences and info with us, but dont get upset with us for doing it. It's all good man I can understand where your coming from, but I do sell a bit on eBay and I have had similar conversations with other buyers.

Folks.... I absolutely appreciate the challenge that has been offered here by Cindy and her family. I have had others that has offered a very similar offer. I dont want anyone to take this the wrong way, and if someone does...sorry. I wont accept any other donations from Cindy, her heart is absolutely in the right place. She and her family are going through a very hard time right now, and I know they dont have extra monies to send an additional donation (They have already donated). There are 5 more days to this drive, we are very close to our goal. But...if we dont come up with the minimum, then Bobbie doesn't have to get inked, that is the deal. It's a tight race right now, we might make it and I hope we do, but I would like to see some others donate. 5 More days....and it's all over! THANK YOU TO ALL THAT HAVE DONATED

I have always kept the tank full (so you wont get any condensation which leads to rust)with some sort of gas stabilizer, Seafoam or Stabil. Run it into the carbs to keep them from varnishing. Put it on a battery tender and keep it there. I have always tried, if the weather permits, to ride on January 1st. Also whenever the weather will break and there isn't any salt on the road and they have been dry for a few days.....98 cents less than a buck

I take a look at it like this, if it's under $10 for shipping, my time is worth more than that. I dont think that the seller is out of line, and you did agree to pay that shipping charge. If you thought it was unacceptable, you should have contacted him before you bought it. Not trying to start a debate, but NOTHING is cheap anymore and for me to get a part shipped to my door for $10....yeah I'm all over that.
