Replacement wheels for my Harbor Freight trailer.
Squidley replied to Monsta's topic in Trailer Talk
Ken, Call them up and they will sell you the rims, I did this as I couldn't find any chrome rims like them on the net. I will warn you though, they are just cheap metal from China, so you will have to keep them clean and protected to keep them from corroding, especially in Hawaii and the salf water -
Switch, I can appreciate where your coming from with your statements, but all of the Moderators here KNOW that when we start to get into hot topics they ALWAYS go bad. I can't remember 1 time (and I have been on this site for going on 4 years) where threads weren't delete because folks get all ticked off because there pride gets hurt. I can tell you for 2 of us (Don and Myself) and more than likely all the other Moderators are very passionate about whats happening in politics and other hot topics. We never bring it to the site as we know exactly where it will end up. We both have VERY STRONG views but dont bring them here. There are a million sites on the internet to discuss various topics, and if you go visit them, they are huge ***** sessions where folks are at eachothers throats. The Moderators here are dead set against having that happen here, so unfortunately, your not going to get those discussions here. The internet is a very bad place to have discussions as you can't hear the tones of folks and that usually leads to people taking things the wrong way. Some folks dont come down fast when their feathers are ruffled, and that only builds anamosity on the site. We appreciate all the folks that frequent here, and if folks decide at a M&E or rally to discuss gun control or politics at an event face to face, that is their right. But I can tell you that at any of the events, folks usually aren't talking about anything like that. I'm glad you decided to frequent the site some more, this place is somewhat addicting.

Replacement wheels for my Harbor Freight trailer.
Squidley replied to Monsta's topic in Trailer Talk
Ken, Get ahold of Piggy Backer trailers as they have the chrome rims that they put on their trailers and sell them separately. I bought 3 of them for my diamondplate trailer and I bought them for $40 apiece. Check them out before you jump on the ones from HF. -
Problem with my Clairon CD layer
Squidley replied to a topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I agre with Don here, CD player takes up too much valuable packing space and you can get hundreds of CD's installed on an MP3 player, I dont think I would try to fix it very hard- 5 replies

Couldn't get the pics to load, but having some extra parts isn't necessarily a bad thing on a 22 YO bike

Yep....Here too L4 L5 degenerative discs and I have had it so bad (like a month ago) that I couldn't even walk. Every morning I stretch at work for about 15 minutes before we have out maintenance meeting, and then again before I go home. Sure do wish that God would have made the human body like a car with new replacement parts

Good for you Lou...but you know that, you can check out anytime you like....but you can never leave. I might actually take one of the Harleys out next year to compare them to the RSV, I love the Venture, but Yamaha is irritating me quite badly with their arrogance on changing the bike. We look forward to seeing it sometime soon.

No...No bike, it hasn't hardly got out of the 40's for highs and has been at freezing for lows. Memphis really took the wind out of my sails as we pounded the miles and froze coming home. I'll be bringing the wagon down...with heat You absolutely get to pick where it goes Bobbie, that was never a stipulation. I will say though go with a place that has a lot of meat area. Mine will be on my upper right arm, dont go with a boney area as that will hurt more.

Question regarding Front Brake feel
Squidley replied to MickO's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Mick, If you want to adjust the throw of the lever there is a phillips head bolt with a locking nut on it that you can adjust in or out to get it to feel like you want. You might want to try that and see if it cures your problem as far as the feel goes. Once you take anything apart it will always feel different as components move around and never go back exactly as they were. -
In my 1st marriage we ended up buying a grandfather clock, looked almost identical to what you have there with the moon phases and all. It was made by Howard Miller out of Zeeland Michigan. Perhaps you could get ahold of them and see if they can steer you in the right directions with some of your questions?

Looking forward to it Art
